Saw a convenient store selling a blank cake along with some small piping back with colorful cream, marketed as a “decorate it yourself” cake. Honestly that is. So so cute as an activity with a little and it saves the trouble of getting the cream into the piping bag (hardest part in my mind)

idk if this is controversial but as a caregiver I feel like we are not allowed to be silly or stupid nearly enough, yes we take on a very important caretaker role and that is something to take seriously, but just like any parenting there are many different ways to do it!

I don’t give my kids rules unless they explicitly ask for it and even then, they don’t have to be taken so seriously, if my kiddo stays up past their bedtime they WILL get a long drawn out explanation of WHY it isn’t a good idea. however they will never be taught they are being bad. and shoot, if they wanna go out for ice cream to have that talk? who am I to say no.

I feel like we have to start treating littles with some more respect and like they’re learning (cause they are!) instead of taking everything so seriously, have some fun with the dynamic and role you take for your little, because at the end of the day this is a coping mechanism and not something that should be used as a power trip.

Got some milkshake because I’m way too busy (and lazy) to make breakfast and milkshake is the easiest to drink on the go…it’s awesome with so many different flavors 🥹

The reblog chain is one of the things that makes Tumblr unlike anywhere else. All the notes on reblogs are attributed to the original post, no matter which branch people actually liked or reblogged. We want to keep encouraging conversations, and give contributors the recognition they deserve. 

Soon, you'll be able to like, reblog, or reply to any part of a reblog chain, and that note will go to that reblog's author. Each reblog will have its own counts, instead of one aggregated number from every version of the post. And yes, you’ll be able to like multiple posts in one chain.

If a reblog doesn't add anything, the love flows up to the last person in the chain who did. Your post doesn't lose notes just because people spread it quietly.

Past notes will stay on the original post — we're only changing what happens from here on out. Retroactively re-attributing all of them would be... a lot.

This is just the beginning. More changes are coming as we keep building this out – stay tuned!

Carer who makes their bed comfy with stuffie friends so their little one doesn't think they're alone when in bed all day

Carer who encourages going out to get some sun. "C'mon, little snail. You gotta get some sunbeams today!"

Carer who brings them their favorite food/drink to help them eat

Carer who cuddles them when thoughts get too rough

Carer who cleans them up when things go wrong. Gently, softly, because sad little ones aren't an inconvenience to their carers.

Carer who praises them immensely for the things they've done, even the small things others might brush off. Brushing teeth, brushing hair, eating 2 meals or snacks.

Carer who distracts them with their favorite things. Cartoons, coloring, favorite snacks, etc

Remember cuties! Struggling doesn't mean you're a bad baby. Overcoming the struggle one baby step at a time is the key. And if you slip up? No problem. No use crying over spilled milk <3 keep your head up, go through it one day at a time, and praise yourself (for the ones who don't have carers) for the things you did well today. And don't listen to the meanies! They just yap to yap (: love yall babies and kiddos!
