It takes time to learn how to navigate new things and develop your strengths. Struggling at something you’ve never done before is human and normal – and it’s okay. You aren’t a failure if it’s overly difficult. You aren’t pathetic or incompetent or shameful. You’re a beginner. You’re still learning. And there’s honor in that. Honor in opening yourself up to new experiences and knowledge. Honor in putting yourself outside your comfort zone so that you can grow into a new, more full version of yourself. So if you’re feeling lost and unprepared, know that it’s just a part of the process. Everyone else has been here before, and they all made it through. You’ll figure everything out along the way.
