it took a great deal of self control for mona to not reach over and take the cup haphazardly swinging around in holly’s hand and set it safely on a flat surface, trying instead to focus on what the other girl was saying. “why you EVER thought tinder was a good idea in the first place is BEYOND me,” she started, taking a sip from her frappucino and casting an only mildly judgmental look in the direction of her friend. “and it also says a lot about you that you swiped right on a guy who looked like he could even potentially think banksy is the best thing since sliced bread.”
mona has a point, but holly isn’t about to admit it. her love life is a mess and even that’s being a little too generous to her and her poor decisions, so a horrific tinder date isn’t exactly the worst thing she has going for her. ( that would be whatever she has going with mason, but she still wants to pretend that’s not as messy as it is. ) ❝ look, i was painfully single and desperate. you forget i grew up in portland, okay ?? 90% of the guys there look like that, so i guess i’m probably desensitized to it. and, uh, you know...he had great abs. ❞

❝ you know the o.j. simpson case ? it’s about that. ❞ that was probably a stupid question; it was one of america’s better known court cases. however, she hadn’t come to grasp the full gravity of the case until she started watching the show. ❝ just spoons. i don’t feel like doing dishes tonight, ❞ the blonde replied, moving towards the kitchen to grab the spoons, and then ducking beneath the counter to grab a wine bottle. ❝ do you want your own glass though ? i’m perfectly fine with passing the bottle around, but… ❞ she trailed off, shrugging her shoulders. sharing ice cream was a bit different from drinking wine out of the same bottle.
