⸻ THE YOUNGEST HARVELLE'S BLUE EYES ROLLED AT DEAN AND LEANT HIS SIDE AGAINST THE SIDE OF THE CAR HE'D BEEN WORKING ON. dean winchester didn't ask for help. hell, in all the time he knew dean   . . .   wallace didn't think he'd ever seen the other so desperate. and if will were to see him stood in wallace's garage right now? it wouldn't end well for either one of them. would that stop wallace from seeing what's up? no. "you need help? what trouble did you and sam get into this time?"

⸻ "MYSELF," wallace replied to jesse, holding up the broken alcohol bottles he'd dropped. as usual, he wasn't paying attention to what he was doing while in the bar and broke a whole case of hard liquor. the broken pieces kicked back unexpectedly and cut along wallace's cheek and hands. a mess he was trying to clean up before will caught him. he'd overlook a case of alcohol missing, right? right. they had other things to worry about at the moment. "if will asks   . . .   you know nothing."

⸻ THE BLONDE STARTLED AT HIS GIRLFRIEND'S VOICE AND HIS EYES FLICKERED UP TO HER FACE LOOMING IN THE MIRROR. he had been so focused on fixing what happened to his side that he hadn't even heard her come back to the house. gauze littered the sink along with several bloodied patches from when wallace had tried to stop the bleeding. to which he realized it wouldn't stop bleeding and had to haphazardly stitch himself up. a scar he'd have to deal with. "i, uh   . . .   i'm fine. just a little slip on a hunt. i'll survive," he told her, purposely leaving out the part where he went alone. admittedly, wallace had narrowly survived against the vampire nest, but he was totally fine. could have been totally worse. he could have been dead, but he wasn't.

⸻ WALLACE DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER LOOKING AT SELENA WHEN SHE WALKED INTO HIS GARAGE. he had hidden himself in here after he had gotten into an altercation with some demon on his last hunt. taunted and mocked him about his mother and sister burning. knew he was connected to the winchesters and wanted to hurt him, too. knew will was dying soon and wanted to chuck him right to the wolves. there was no saving his brother from this deal. no getting him to stay with him. but wallace didn't give a fuck. he'd hunt down every single demon he could until one of them told him how to get will out of this mess. he wasn't going to lose someone else. not his brother. "don't even start with that shit, selena," he huffed out, face scrunching up as he tightened the bolts on the bottom of his bike. "not in the mood to be mothered right now."

⸻ SHIT, SHIT SHIT. will wasn't supposed to be back yet for another day or two. surely, wallace thought he would have gotten away with this one. that will wouldn't find out he'd gotten into a bar fight with one of the hunters. the blonde was good at lying, he could lie to will, right? he didn't have to know about the fight. didn't have to know that one of their mutual best friends had to come running and pull wallace off the guy. didn't have to know that they tried to disrespect will or himself. surely, not. so wallace stood up straight and cleared his throat, dropping the rubbing alcohol back into the first aid kit on the bar top. "oh i smacked my face on one of the crates in the back. tripped over one of the shipments i never put away," he swiftly lied, gesturing to the busted lip and bruised side of his face. "i'll be alright. how was the trip?"

⸻ WALLACE GRUMBLED WHEN SONNY TRIED TO REACH OUT FOR HIS BRUISED EYE. he tried to swat her hand away before it could get too close, but wallace should have known better. there was no getting past sonny munroe. if she was going to worry? then she was going to worry and there was no stopping her. no matter how badly wallace wanted her to just drop it and leave it alone. "nothing, sonny," he tried to wave her off, act like nothing happened. "i just got back from a hunt and i couldn't find my first aid kit so i'm stealing yours."
