“It’s ok, Ill get rid of him, burn him in a abandoned building somewhere. Stopping’s normally… I still get Evelyn to stop me, when I cant have the… when I need fresh blood.”
“-- Yer still need someone ta ‘elp yer stop?”
“Wow… You’re talking to me. You feeling okay?”
“Nowt, not feelin’ right at all, love. But shite, yer important ta Klaus -- ‘ave to keep me eye on yer.”
“You and the angry looking lady across the street.”
“That one is a biter, mate. Don’ ask me ‘ow I know that, alright?”
“Use it. Do not let your anger consume you, channel it into something else.”
“How the fuck do you do that? Got nowt else to channel it into, mate.”
@hcwlingknight
She dared another step closer to him, needing her words to be more private. How could she just blurt it out like that? “I don’t want anything in return. I just don’t want to see you in pain, neither does she,” she swallowed a little, looking around them. “I do need something,” she didn’t lift a comforting hand to him like she would’ve any other time, “I need you to trust me, Dom. I’m not just some witch, I’m Alex. And Davina and I are going to make this right. If we need anything, I’ll be in touch, okay?”
He hated hearing about his sister from others, hated knowing that he couldn’t see her or talk to her without magic being involved. Such irony. His gaze dropped at her words that he wasn’t sure he could return -- once upon a time he trusted her, in the way that Dominic trusted people -- but this was for Belle, this was bigger than himself and he needed his sister to be alive otherwise he’d soon be dead; he knew that. “Okay.” one word was all that came out as he nodded, crystal hues looking into her gaze as his expression softened for only a moment before his feet carried him backwards slowly, perhaps a precaution after what happened when he saw her first. “Don’ ‘ave a phone. Tell one of the hybrids ‘n I’ll come down.” of course he had hope now, of course he wanted to smile and thank her -- but he couldn’t be that way without Belle. It was only a matter of time now -- he knew Davina and Alex would do it; he did trust them.
“Well it might take you sometime before you find a technique that works for you. This is just mine, it usually involves flirting of some kind to lure them in. It creates a nice little adrenaline rush. But for this –” she stopped a random girl walking on the street, wearing a college hoodie that was from out of state, her hand grasping her arm tightly, “Pardon, but we need you for a moment. Now, relax.” She made the eye contact, the compulsion taking place. “Here,” she offered the arm to Dominic and nodded her head in the direction of the nearby alleyway, “We’ll start with learning how to stop.”
“Sounds like me day to day activities.” he confessed before thinking back to the last time he had actually flirted with someone -- it had been before Belle’s death. A small frown line occurred at his own thoughts before he watched how easily Evelyn compelled the other for their lesson -- how the hell was he supposed to stop? That thought hadn’t actually crossed his mind as they brought the unsuspecting victim to the alley way while his hands held the arm of the girl who seemed to be looking right through them -- his features had changed without permission as a low growl resulted of his hunger -- he was on the girl before he even knew what had come over him.
“I’m definitely here for more than just the cake…”
“Who yer tryin’ to convince, love?”
“Definitely a college party… Tastes like watered down battery acid.”
“Shite -- sounds bowt right.”
“I’m sorry, I don’t really have Caroline’s planning skills and such, but I hope that the amount of alcohol we bought makes up for that.”
“Jus’ point me in the direction of yer keg, mate.”
.:[ ▲ ]:. ❝ I can handle a beer, don’t freak out ❞
“If I was freakin’ out, yer would know it, love. Pass me one.”
“Can’t be that hard, right?”
“Yer keep tellin’ yerself that, yeah?”
She didn’t move towards him, not like all her instincts usual told her to do. She took her answer, nodding her head and looking down at the concrete ground. When he spoke next, her whole body tensed. Her eyes looked around, scared to say this outside of the safety of Davina’s attic. “Dominic look at me,” she took a couple steps forward, keeping her distance while her voice became hard, “That’s why I’m back here, I –” she looked around again, obviously nervous about the risks she was taking, “I’m going to bring her back.”
Pure shock seemed to floor him when the words left her lips. Had she just said what his ears had heard? I’m going to bring her back. That was right, wasn’t it? A familiar hatred had boiled down to a small simmer as his mind tried to wrap itself around what that would mean, what would be used to do such a thing and without realizing it, he had already spoken “I’ll do anything.” he tells the witch, his friend, as his gaze locked onto hers with nothing but pure desperation.
.:[ ▲ ]:. Davina looked up at him and her head nodded answering yes before her lips got to do it themselves ❝ Yeah, considerate yours ❞ The little witch finished gathering the rest and just put them aside before she stood to face him. She couldn’t imagine his struggle, to see her every time he looked at himself but not have her there … It was torture. Her hand reached for his face, such a sad boy, and it hurt that she couldn’t immediately ❝ I can draw you guys together ❞ she said before taking her hand back ❝ Anywhere at any time of day. I can’t give you photographs but I can give you pictures to look at… Sorry I have nothing else do offer for now ❞
With the picture firmly in his hands, the hybrid sat down and stayed still for a few minutes while trying to gather himself. It was so easy to lose his cool these days, one small mistake and he knew he’d be lunging for her -- he didn’t have many friends but he knew she was one and it wasn’t something he wanted to throw away so easily; surprisingly enough. “Would rather ‘ave ‘er back.” he murmured quietly, jaw tightening at the thought “She liked trees. Reckon yer could draw us in a tree?” such a silly request.
She didn’t say anything, she simply reached out both hands and took his gently in order to halt what seemed like a nervous tick. “I know, I’m not fond of most people. Thankfully, my resting bitch face tends to keep them away from me,” there was a tiny twitch of her lips, threatening a smirk, “Well, let’s avoid that. But maybe we could start with something small?”
“That and yer ‘ave yerself a reputation, lass.” the hybrid teased while attempting to mock her resting face he knew all too well, a hidden smirk lingering upon his lips as the offer was made “What did yer ‘ave in mind?”
“And here I thought we were, all be it very unlikely, friends, or whatever can pass for that, mate. It’s good to see you out of that bloody compound.
“-- ‘Ow do blokes become friends, aye? Jus’ fuckin’ ‘appens, don’ it? Drivin’ meself crazy in there and shite, there’s more fun to be ‘ad out in the world, yeah?”
