This is a list of some male Jedi and whether or not I think they have children they don't know about out in the Galaxy

Obi-Wan: absolutely*cough*Korkie*cough*

Qui-Gon: no he's actually like religious about contraception

Anakin: no. Obi-Wan watched him too closely as a teenager because Obi-Wan knows exactly what he was like as a teenager

Dooku: probably not. He's very asexual spectrum coded to me. And I feel like he's had sex with like maximum two people in his life and I think they were both Jedi

Plo Koon: no that man follows up with every person he has ever slept with just to make sure that if they have a child he is providing the proper support necessary for that child

Kanan: maybe he was drunk for like several years, so there's a decent chance he got someone pregnant during that time

Luke: no it's not biologically possible for him to have children he doesn't know about because he is a trans man

Yoda: Yoda has children that he knows about. Yoda abandoned his family to become a Jedi. Yoda is a deadbeat father who went out for milk and didn't come back

Quinlin: no but only because he keeps having sex with species that he is not compatible with for reproduction

So funny actually that Zeb is considered in canon to be attractive, and since he was Honor Guard captain, also sort of famous among lasat, but hangs out with a bunch of random Rebels doing manual labor, first response and charity work.

Enoch knows Thrawn is married. He accidentally let that fact slip once only once after years stranded on Peridea.

But that's all he knows. He doesn't know who or when or where or where they are now. But he knows that Thrawn loved them.

When they return to the original Galaxy Enoch can't say he's surprised when Thrawn immediately beelines it to the unknown regions.

He is surprised when the man who greets Thrawn when they land is human. But he doesn't question for a moment that that is Thrawn's husband

Chiss mate for life or they used to.

Nowadays it's seen as barbaric, improper and immodest; something only an idiot would enter into because once you've performed a mating bond it can't be undone.

Some of the ancient legends even suggest that it's possible to die simply because your mate has died without receiving a single wound or contracting an illness.

Civilized Chiss marry.

A marriage is political. It can be done for love, certainly, but when it comes to the Families it rarely is. The lower class marries for love those who control society marry for alliances for power. That doesn't mean that they don't grow to love their spouses.

And a marriage can be undone. If the spouse is unfaithful or their family falls into disrepute a divorce can be granted to prevent backlash on one's own family.

A mating bond that can never be undone, once performed, mates are tied together for life. No matter what happens, no matter what their families do they can never truly separate.

There hasn't been a mating bond in over a century in the Ascendancy. And the last time it happened it was between a married couple, who'd been married for 50 years when they finally mated.

So it's safe to say that it is a bit of a shock when the human arrives with a mating bond. At least it is a shock to those who did not know Thrawn personally.

I’ve heard from a lot of people that, when making a Star Wars OC, they get overwhelmed by the sheer amount of species and they have trouble choosing just one. So, at 3am about a week ago, I had the idea to put together a flowchart to help make that decision easier! I picked out 75 different species, both the well-known and the more obscure from both canon and legends, and grouped them by everything from the shape of their horns to the number of arms they have. I tried my best to have it be coherent and make sense, so hopefully there’s some use for it!

Links to info and (for some) videos showing off the species are below the cut. Some species have less than others to go off of, so I apologize in advance if I can’t find much. Hope this helps, though! :D
