“Of course, headmistress, how can I help?”
“We haven’t met, have we? What’s your name?”
Logan looked up at her with a smile on his face, “Yea what’s up?”
“I usually like to meet all my students, and unless I’m mistaken I’ve not yet met you.”
“Yes, of course. Anything you need.”
“We haven’t met. Hello,” Marilyn extended her hand out.
“Yes, Ma’am?”
“I haven’t met you yet, have I?”
“Hi, sorry. Can I interrupt you for a moment?”
Theo sat down, chewing on his bottom lip. “I think it would be best if you tell me what you know, if you don’t mind.” He mumbled.
“I know that for whatever reason you lost control and bit another student. She suffered blood loss and had to stay a few days in the hospital, and lucky for her there was a healer when she fainted otherwise she might have had to endure worse. This isn’t me kicking you out, this is me telling you that you have one more chance. After that, you’ll have to leave; I hope we’re clear.”
“Oh, that.. You heard about that?” She rubbed the back of her neck, shrugging her shoulders. “I’m okay.. It’s hard to think he’s gone, but my brothers are taking it the hardest, so I’m trying to stay strong for them.”
“I like to keep tabs on what’s going on.” Marilyn explained. “I understand. If you need to take a couple weeks off for yourself and your family, you won’t be penalized, I just wanted you to know that.”
It didn’t take long for Ingrid to work out why she was there, especially as the headmistress went into detail. “I’m fine,” Ingrid nodded. “But yes, you’re correct and I am aware of said students condition, if that’s what we’re referring to it as.”
“Here’s the thing, Ingrid, is that by letting students that have more potential to harm others into this school, I’m doing a lot by trusting them. For them to violate any student for any reason is wrong, but I won’t kick them out so easy unless someone else feels it’s disturbing them. So I’m asking you, are you okay with him being here?”
“fuck, yeah, that’s me, Kat Bones,” Kat laughed nervously. “But um, you know there are two of us, are you looking for my sister?”
“Well good, you’re the one I wanted to see, I’m glad I got it right. You got a second?”
Taking a seat, Fiona was pretty sure she knew what this was about, but slowly and surely she was becoming more comfortable with talking about it, especially with the therapy she shrugged softly. “It’s just a lot going on, but my grades are up, I’m working on it,”
“Of course. Now because it happened so close to school, right under our noses, I’m not sure how safe you feel here...? Would you be more comfortable if we implemented more security?”
Vita followed her down the hall and into her office, setting her bag next to her chair as she sat down. “Yes, ma’am. Am I actually in trouble or…?”
“Of course not.” Marilyn shook her head. “You just attended your brothers funeral, I wanted to make sure you’re alright.”
Standing in her office, not having been in it for the longest time, she stayed standing looking around before her eyes fell on the headmistress. “No, not at all, go ahead,”
“Please, take a seat, if you’d like.” Marilyn offered. “I’m only saying this because I want the students who attend here to be safe and happy, that’s important. I know little pieces of information about you and a family issue, and I want to make sure you’re okay and it hasn’t affected your school experience.”
“No, of course not,” Fiona nodded, agreeing with the headmistress to resume their conversation in her office.
Marilyn smiled, whispering her password to the entrance to reveal stairs to her office. She quickly entered, taking her preferred seat. “Would it very much bother you if I got just a little personal?”
Theo followed silently, wide eyed. He was so getting expelled, he was going to get kicked out of University, because he was a vampire. Fuck.
Marilyn began the long awkward walk down the hallway that led tot he entrance of her office. She quietly muttered her own password, beginning up the stairs. She took her seat, waiting for Theo to sit as well before she got to it. “Do you want to explain, or should I tell you what I know?”
“SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT,” Kat muttered under her breath, wheeling around to give the woman a bright smile. “You sure? I think you might have the wrong person.”
“Um... no. Bones, right?”
“It’s not a problem at all, lead the way?”
“Down the hall.” Marilyn began down the hall and then up the stairs to the office. “Okay,” she sat behind her desk. “Sit.”
“Oh okay, sounds good to me. Is everything okay?” Ingrid asked upon entering, taking a seat as asked across from the headmistress.
“That’s what I want to know.” Marilyn waited until Ingrid was seated to begin. “It’s come to my attention that you were... attacked, but one of our more special students, and if I’m correct you spent some time in the Hospital for it. Correct?”
