my best friend the satanist's wife || ayano & takane
"I’m grateful." She speaks, still holding onto the other with her smile, it’s been such a long time. She wishes she could count the time that has passed before them. “You don’t know how much it warms my heart to know that you’re safe and doing well.” A friend of hers, the female is oh so important so she’s happy to know that she can see her as much as she use to. A nod of her head because Takane is right, they’ve missed out on so much and have so much to do and look forward to, together.
Wait.. It’s been quite awhile. THEY REALLY DID HAVE A LOT TO DO!?
"Y- You’re right! There’s so much we need to do but where do we start!? How do we know where to start at!?" She states, a little confused with what they could even do. So much time has left them, could they get all that back plus looking forward to the future? That wouldn’t take up any time would it? Hopefully not! Finally letting the female’s hands go as she places her own palms on her sides.
"We can do it! I believe in us! You know what would be good.. if me, you, Haruka and Shintaro could all get together again like old times. It’d feel so nostalgic! I can’t remember the last time we all seen each other at the same time." They were a quartet afterall, always being seen together no matter what. Though their friendship came together awkwardly, it’s a time that she’ll always cherish.
"But I should ask, have you seen Haruka lately? I do have to catch up what’s going on between you two after all! I know I’ve missed out on a lot. Oh and your fiance, tell me about them as well. Are they nice? Whoever they are, I bet they’re going to treat you well. I believe we’ll see some type of happiness because of this, right? Ehehe.." She did try her best to stay positive.
For a moment, she startled at Ayano's outburst, before her lips curl into a smile, followed by a short bark of laughter, gently squeezing her friend's hands as she did so. Really, even after everything, Ayano didn't change, and she too was grateful, and... Well, happy. Just talking like this meant the world to her, though she'd never say that out loud of course.
"We'll definitely find something to do, don't worry so much," She replied, before stopping to consider the younger girl's next words, folding her arms in contemplation. "Yeah, it's been a while since our... group was us, hasn't it?" Her time as Ene, Haruka's as Konoha... That didn't really count much to group activity, if you asked Takane. "We should do that, yeah; I gotta pay back Shintaro for beating me at the shooting booth after all!" She figured she could take him now, honestly; and perhaps a part of wanted to do something nostalgic too. Like old times. It'd be a nice way to get back into their routine.
She jolted ever so slightly at the mention of Haruka and her fiance, however -- that was still something she was getting used to. Or maybe having trouble getting used to was a better way of putting it? Shrugging slightly, she turned her gaze skyward for a moment. "Haruka's here too, yeah. He asked me to meet up with him some time, so I guess he's doing well too. As for my fiance, he's... A kid in comparison to me, I guess, but he's not a pain in the neck, so I think I'll be good." She lowered her gaze again, tilting her head slightly.
"How about yours? How's your fiance or whatever." A paused, then: "If he or she's a weirdo I'll take care of them for you." Half-joking of course; but then again, half serious.
