âYou know what I meant-â The womanâs eyebrows furrowed together at the center, she would have glared up at him and demanded answers if not for the cloth that covered her face and the fact that on top of that she knew there wanât much time left. Surely enough, her ears perked up a bit to hear the sound of police sirens blaring outside the shop, as usual the cops were late but that was none of her concern most of the time. Just as she noticed the man letting her go and readying to leave she pulled the apron off her head  only catching a glimpse just in time for him to slip away, âCreepâŠâ
With a sigh she leaned her back against the counter once hearing the doors open eyes looking up at the men in uniform as the rushed in front of her, aiding her to her feet again. âThey only bruised my arm, Iâm fine,â Yujin answered plainly, glancing to the back of the shop again to possibly catch a glimpse of the stranger again but of course he was long gone. âIs there anyone else in here that didnât flee yet, maâam?â The police questioned further, but of course she knew better than to answer honestly, only shaking her head with a simple response, âNoâŠâ
The rest of her day continued on in the police station, answering questions and giving statements that were vague and hardly the truth. By the time she finally made it home the first thing she did was shower, change her clothes and make some tea. Now days turned into weeks and then months had followed and it was already on the verge of becoming December. Several more confrontations had happened, each one more and more progressively close to danger and yet somehow that dude found a way to snatch her up from danger every time. It was infuriating for her, months down the lane and she was still no closer to answers, regarding the usb or Healer. That creep was a person sheâd grown used to, in a way she sort of started to rely on his protection, feeling a bit safer knowing that he somehow had this watch over her. One would even say, if one would even know, that the two had even gotten a bit too friendly these days. Chit chatting and bickering flirtatiously, to the point where she sometimes forgot he was the reason she was in this mess in the first place.
Now she was walking down the city streets of Seoul talking business with her secretary, Bongsoo, late at night, cold air reddening her cheeks while the only warmth outside of her outerwear was provided by the hot cup of coffee in her hand. She didnât even know what he was saying to her, it was all going in one ear and out of the other. There was a lot on her mind, at this point she began debating whether or not the enemy had an enemy source and the past week her company was turned upside down in the midst of an internal investigation.
At first, the sounds of crumpling leaves behind her was brushed off as just her being paranoid. She had gotten careless and tired enough to the point where she knew with security or not the Kkangpae would come. And that they did, a yank of her arm  being given only to have her widen her eyes and instinctively toss her cup of coffee onto the strangerâs face as she was surrounded by thugs, yet again, âDonât you idiots ever give up?â
It was mainly just being by her side, day to day, eventually he learned the inside rules of his work like getting the coffee and running papers to different departments. Even with Ahjumma lecturing him every night because he turns off the tracker and communication with her, he continued to rebel. It became more than just finding background information about his dad, in fact, he almost felt like he... Wanted to protect her for some odd reason. Maybe because he was the cause of her misery to begin with. However, with each of their encounters when he was Healer it was interesting, to say the least.
His breath in the chilling by the day air was visible as he was explaining what was the company plans, orders which he was given to send feedback towards his boss. After a small introduction to the plans, he quickly realized she wasnât paying attention to him at all. As soon as he wanted to speak up, the same scene replayed over and over once again by the none other than kkangpae. âAish, I got bruises from last week and itâs still there,â he complained, yet it was a complete lie. Before he could even blink, a car was driven up next to them, shoving the female inside with no words this time. They were probably sick of the same game as well. Bongsoo attempted to step in, but in his state of position, he was kicked to the curb but it was his plan after all, to get a tracking device planted underneath the car as he got constantly kicked. âYujin-ah!â He called out while the men had her tied and blindfolded in the car before speeding off.
He laid in agony for a few seconds until the vehicle was almost out of sight, so he could dust himself off and contact the only person on his side. âAhjumma, I need you to track the car I put a tracker on,â he demanded, slipping into a hoodless vehicle nearby, connecting his phone to the carâs usb slot. âYou disappear on me and expect me to follow you up? Yah, is she really that pretty?â She spoke with a scoff. âWHAT?â He choked on the word while the engine started.  âThis clueless jerk,â Ahjumma mumbled toned with clicks of the keyboard. âHeading west,â she informed after.
The quiet chase was long and dragging but the gang of men decided to stop at a warehouse and hauled their victim inside. Of course they had a couple of men watch the entrance while the rest slipped inside but Healer know where his way of entrance was. Sneaking up to the side of the building, he was able to climb up towards a window that was slightly already opened, probably to keep fresh air disperse in the building but the air isnât the only thing that will enter through that crack. Once he was successfully inside, he crept up to where the voices were, keeping in the shadows as he examined the situation. âShould we cut one finger at a time until she says something?â One of the men suggested with a wicked voice. âOr we can use her for ransom, her for the whole company her father owns,â another made an addition.
âOr leave her alone,â Healerâs voice spun all the eyes towards his direction and in that incident he could only give a taunting look.  Within the second a well known fight between him and the kkangpae members reunited once again. He had to admit, all the constant brawling had put an overwhelming strain to his body but even with his handicapped position, he managed to drop bodies to the floor. His breathing was heavy once the last one fell from the knock out, âAh... How annoying you guys are...â He exhaled as he began walking towards the female who was roped and veiled. He wasnât sure of what to say or because he was exhausted he couldnât bring up another word. Instead, he simply untied the muffler against her mouth, hoping she could break the silence...
