The week had been incredibly stressful in general due to work, and the brunette just didn’t a little escape so she had decided to go out for a couple of drinks. Well – a couple was about to turn into a whole lot. Letting a soft chuckle escape her lips, she downed the shot of alcohol in one go before she shifted her focus back onto the male. “Aigoo, I knew it was too good to be true.” It was by pure coincidence that she had met her friend here, but regardless she was glad to have the company.

Nodding her head, her signature smile now plastered onto her face, she inevitably would give in one way or another. “I’m marking it down on my calendar now, y’know. Putting your name right into my Thursday box. You can’t bail on me now, promise? I’ll buy you this drink, don’t worry. I wouldn’t drink in front of you without getting one for you. I’m mean, but not that mean.” She added with a laugh. 

A cheeky grin visibly spreads across his lips; the female have always been nice to him. And this time is not an exception. “ Ah Noona! I know you’re glad that you’re now not alone here! ” Not wasting a second, he had already settled down at the empty seat beside the lady. Looking at how she was drinking the alcohol at one go, he couldn’t help but to raised his brows, curious at how one can drink this much, and this quick. Though he was more worried over her safety. 

His train of thoughts stopped when she spoke up yet again, the grin growing wider each second. “ You can always count on me! I’m pretty trustworthy, you know. ” He said as he nodded firmly, placing his hand on his chest for a moment before laughing inwardly. “ But I do promise you, Noona. Once I get my pay from Mcdonald’s, you’ll be the first person I’m contacting! Thank you though! I knew you wouldn’t leave me here to watch you. ”

Her mouth gaped open in awe, she practically stuck her head out the window as she stared in amazement at the Christmas lights they drove by. Some people really had a way of going all out this holiday season. In hindsight, she probably shouldn’t be distracting the older female from driving but she couldn’t help but point at the lights. “Daebak. Unnie, look! It’s incredible. They seriously went out all out.” When they did things like this, the girl could hardly be kept in her seat. “I wonder how big their electric bill is after.” She pondered, an amused expression plastered onto her face as she looked back towards the other female.

The chilling winter breeze blew through the open window into the car and Christmas carols were audible— nothing other than those could serve as a reminder that the holiday season was just around the corner. Despite how hackneyed it was for everyone to start preparing for Christmas, as early as a month ago, Jieun believed that no one could possibly resist the enticement of such a beautiful season. “Hmm, these are so pretty, ain’t they?” Green and red lights of different hues greeted her as she took a few seconds to glance out the window, before her eyes were directed towards the younger’s features. “You’ve got a point, and how much effort it must be for them to decorate it so nicely.” She responded in a light-hearted tone as she chewed her bottom lips, emitting a brief chuckle afterwards.

Despite the crucial mistake the both of them had made (perhaps it may have been more Eugene’s fault than Haeryung’s but he’d never admit to that), the cookies baked just fine-- smelled nice even. The batch of sugar-- well erm, salt cookies held up the appearances of your average baked good. 

“I think the cookies are cool enough, Hae,” the student speculates tentatively before fetching two glasses and milk from the fridge. “You...” He casts her a knowing look, “Wanna try ‘em?”

A night out on the time never hurt anyone, so they say. Atleast for he could agree to the saying but her on the other hand, that was adifferent story. It was easy for him to feel comfortable around her, given therelationship the two had. With that being said, he never felt the need to dressall covered in lieu he would often wear v neck shirts with quarter sleeves andmaybe even some sweats. Definitely not the typical male you would see out inthe bars. Evidently stress was taken its toll on the two, though more so onher. Shots were being thrown back like water. His company could’ve drunk theentire bar and she still would have probably wanted more. He should be worriedbut he knows what it’s like to wear so much weight on shoulders, he onlyencourages and steadies her. Instantly he regretted his decision.

Completely out of her wits, he knew she wouldn’t make it homeby herself, let alone even stand up considering she was falling everywhere asif she never walked a day in her life. “Get it together, Hae.” Funny how alightweight female could weigh a ton when her body was out of control. Carryingher was so difficult, he’d rather drag her by her shirt than to continuefighting with her. Attention was already garnered, the entire bar literallylooking their way to be entertained by the show the woman was putting on. “Joootaaa!”Ah fuck was his initial thought while tossing her over his shoulders, yet withthe constant kicking, she only ended up falling on her bottom. Murmurs wereaudible at the point. The male done with the entire situation, though for herit was a different story. “Where are you go-“ She was already headed off beforehe could finish. Jota doesn’t chase after her this time, choosing to leanagainst the bar with palm covering mouth instead, lids slowly closing when hesees her walking to the small stage where they held karaoke. Please don’t embarrass me, please don’temba-. “I have something to say!” Damn.Digits come to rub temples, emitting a low groan in agitation. Loud thuds madefrom her tapping on the microphone as if she could be any louder. “I SAID IHAVE SOMETHING TO SAY!” Okay maybe she could.

Not a peep was made from the party goers, only occasionalslips of chortles and laughter. “THAT GUY OVER THERE.” Her index pointed tohim, his head instantly lowered. “He isssss the bessssst guy you’ll evererrrrrmeet.” Thank you, Hae. “LIKE EVER.” Shut up, Hae. There was a very longpause afterwards. “Oho…the world is spinning…” Then she fell, perhaps passedout? It was none of his concern now. Though he did have the decency to call afriend of hers, making sure she was in safe hands before taking his leave. Howunfortunate for her, the entire thing was caught on tape. Perfect forblackmail.

“Looks like we’re going to have to do this the old fashioned way.” Letting out a sigh, she stared longingly down at the last ice cream sandwich in the box, however as much as she wanted to keep it all to herself she couldn’t be a bad host — however she was hungry. A sudden light bulb went off on the top of the girl’s head as she unwrapped the ice cream sandwich, placing it on a glass plate for she grabbed a knife in the kitchen, spilling the sandwich into two even pieces. “Success!” Hae had an accomplished expression plastered onto her face as she brought the plate over to the other female, setting it down in front of her. “One piece for me and one piece for you. Clever aren’t I?” She jokes, letting a chuckle escape her lips. 

Areum stared dreamily at the half ice cream sandwich on her plate, looking almost as if she was in love with it. Truth be told, the pink haired girl does love her ice cream, doesn’t matter how, where or when. Everyone knew that. “Thank you! I’ll be sure to buy you in a new box of these.” She finally said with a toothy grin when her eyes momentarily looked up at the female, before they were back on the ice cream. “But you’ll have to share again because this looks delicious.” And as soon as she took a bite, feeling her tongue cold but savoring the sweetness, she knew it was as good as it looked, making her smile widely. She could get used to that.

—The bar was pumping with vitality and exuberance, hearing a few people cheer their friends to chug down a tall glass of beer or take another shot of tequila. He could smell the sweat, the alcohol and drugs the people consumed within the place. Damien could feel a few people grinding up to him but he was the least interested at them at the moment. He was out for virgin blood, one with the purest essence. The blood of those who had been deflowered tasted like bitter almonds. A bar wasn’t one of the top places to look for what he wanted, but he knew the place made it easier to spot targets and devour them since no one really paid attention to each other much—well, except for those who planned to get laid tonight.

After what seemed like hours of trying to get past mundanes covered with glitter and dirt, he eventually reached the bar and plopped down noisily on one of the stools, ordering a glass of Daiquiri. His eyes flicked to the woman sitting beside him, raising his voice a bit so he would be heard over the loud bass. ❝Hey!❞

The moment the other female came up with the dog in hand, she immediately took a step away. Everyone who knew the the girl knew that she wasn’t a fan of dogs in general and quite a few people gave her a hard time because of it. Looking down at the animal with an exasperated look on her face, her focus then shifted back to the familiar looking female before quickly shaking her head. “No, no. Not my dog. I don’t own a dog and I don’t think I ever will…” Her voice trailed off as she let a chuckle escape her lips, rubbing the nape of her neck in an awkward manner. “Does the dog have some kind of tag on him? Maybe his owner’s phone number or something? I would check, but I’m kind of… afraid of dogs.”

The stranger's actions caused her to unconsciously mimic along with a slight flinch and a momentarily tighter hold on the animal. "Oh -- sorry, I, uh, I thought it was yours. You looked like you were searching for something and I found him wandering around, so I just assumed..." She withdrew her lower lip to tuck it behind her upper one, gently biting down on it before pursing the pair. Afraid? How can someone be afraid of such an adorable thing? To say that Mina loves dogs would be an understatement, she even owns two and actually plans on getting another one soon. "A tag -- yeah, no, I haven't checked that yet, I just wanted to be sure first if the owner was close by... and I guess not." Her hand was on the Yorkshire Terrier's tiny head, petting it by reflex. Her eyes then busied themselves to check its neck, realizing that the collar had no attached dog tag or any other types of indication that would help her find the owner. Mina's visage clearly showed worry as she slowly turns her head to a different direction, going back to her mission of getting the canine to where it belongs. "There's no tag -- ah, I feel so bad for this dog. Hopefully the owner's still around..."

THE brunette shot the other a look of confusion as she muched on her Christmas cookies that one of her avid readers had baked for her during her last book signing. “Did someone who looks exactly like me go crazy like year for Christmas because I wasn’t here…” Her voice trailed off, completely and utterly confused by it all. “Maybe I have a twin sister I never knew about… shocking.” She let a chuckle escape her lips as she finished the rest of her cookie before speaking up yet again. “I didn’t celebrate Christmas last year and besides, I was in London during December last year. Maybe I really do have a twin.”

Christmas was in her mind, one of the most fabricated and useless holidays. It was easy to tell who was just interested in her friendship in the hope of receiving expensive gifts, and she found those types of people to be pitiful. Not only were people fake around this holiday, but it also had the unnecessary loving baggage. If Christmas was really supposed to be full of such love and joy, why did no one come to her aid when she was at her lowest? For years she spent the holiday trapped behind four walls, that when the time came for her to break free, it was like second-nature to avoid holiday relations.

But, how exactly did she choose to spend the Christmas of 2014? All she could remember from that night was alcohol, lights, and probably something along the lines of illegal. Oops. Out of all the shitty people she encountered, only one girl seemed to be on the same sanity level of her (which was pretty low). And, here they were. Nearly a year later, having a second encounter in the out-skirts of Seoul. Or so she believed.

“Are you telling me you aren’t the girl I chilled with in Gangnam?” A sudden miracle it may be, but for once she wasn’t accusing someone of lying to her. Yet, at the same time she refused to admitting being wrong, that was one level she could not sink down to. Her eyes scanned the female before her, checking out all of her physical features and attributes. Blame the alcohol from that night, but it sure made it seem as if this mystery girl actually did have some lost twin wavering about. “Either I’m blind as hell, or I wasn’t in the right state of mind that night.” A dark laugh fell past her lips, feeling as if there was some inside joke she had to keep. 

The mention of London however caught her attention, the memories of a year ago seeming to easily drift away. Coming from rich descent meant she was always keen to traveling wherever and whenever, her passport being full of all different types of adventures. “You mentioned London though, yeah? Is your English good, or do you just fake it til you make it?”
