it’s scary but you have to
let people love you
accept help
do the hard thing and do it scared
let your growth be slow
yesterday at the spa, i was detangling my hair when i started to weep. i can see my foremothers in my curls. i see my grandmother agnes and grandma scharol’s hair color in my hair. i see my great great great grandmothers strength in my length. i can still feel my mothers fingers braiding my hair. oh, how lucky i am to be here
i hear the morning birdsong
i like sticking to myself. you can’t ruin the fun
whenever i want to say mean things about my body, i remind myself that this is the body that will propel me to my goals. not my “dream body” or my “most optimal”. this body that im in right now.
been feeling like a capital L Loser lately 🥺
i need to move back to L.A. i miss the summer air
take me back to the botanical gardens 🥺
