"Jesus fucking Christ, 'lena!" Dinah yelled when the familiar figure of an old friend appeared in a dark alley next to her. Black Canary had just stopped a robbery and ducked into the alley to assess herself for any damage when Huntress had appeared suddenly beside her. "I haven't seen you in forever and you show up to give me a heart attack? Seriously?"

It had been a bit of a tough fight against a large group of bullies that had been harassing a drag queen in an alleyway after a show, but the Black Canary and the other masked hero had gotten away with a few bumps and bruises at the most. The fight had left Dinah with a sweaty smile on her face with the thrill of a job well done, but the other woman's words caught her attention. "Hey," Dinah said with a soft smile. "There's always going to be more bad guys and bigots in the world... but right now? We saved one person and showed them that there's someone in their corner."

Dinah took a little bow after she had just nailed it at karaoke. She could still do a killer Joan Jett impression when she was in the right mood, and tonight she was in the mood for some fun. She'd found a local bar doing a karaoke night and couldn't resist. She didn't do paid singing gigs as often as she used to, but she still loved to warble a tune in her spare time. After the song, Dinah went back down to the bar and took an open seat and ordered herself a beer. She turned to the patron next to her. "Think you can follow up that?"
