So Iāve been hesitant to post this, but if Iām going to I need to explain it. For years I had hallucinations, until I got on meds, and with this piece I wanted to try and put it into perspective. My goal was to force you to imagine yourself both inside what looks like a cozy safe home, and to force you to view yourself as the one looking in, with intentions of invading that safe space. Now I want you to picture youāre both the person inside who knows theyāre safe, and youāre the person peering in hoping to harm you. That was my life for years and I finally put into an illustration the horror of what that would feel like. Iām better now, but this piece really brings me back to that terrifying place. But Iām better now, and if thereās anyone struggling just know you can get better too. I donāt wanna lose anyone else because of their mental health deteriorating.
