Impatience has the capacity to destroy many wonderful opportunities. In most areas of life, timing is everything. In Genesis 16:2, we see that Sarah got impatient and so she said to Abram, “The LORD has kept me from having children. Go, sleep with my slave." Abram agreed to what Sarai said and lay with his slave Hagar.

Out of this union Ishmael was born...The rest History. You know the hostility that has prevailed between the sons of Isaac and the sons of Ishmael even to this day.

The Lord's timing is perfect. Jesus knows how to and when to deliver you. Therefore wait, be patient, take heart, be courageous and expect great things from God.

PRAYER: Lord, forgive me for being impatient and always wanting answers immediately. You see things from a different perspective and so I can rest secure as I patiently trust You to work out every detail of my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

God’s Protection…

Abomination or delight - it is our choice... “...Everyone, at one time or another, has exaggerated, denied, or flat out lied and deceived someone else. Each time this happens there is a negative consequence... (it usually backfires on the one lying, or traps one into more and more lies) God wants all of us to walk in truth. When we do this, we are His delight. He also says that anyone who asks for wisdom will receive it (James 1:5). This is the first step when you are tempted to lie. Take a moment to stop and listen for God’s reply. Next, pray for God to show you a way out of the tempting situation (1 Corinthians 10:13) even if it’s only a “white lie.” Remember, all lies are an abomination to the Lord and He won’t bless any of them. The last step is trusting God with the outcome. The next time you are tempted to lie, even if it seems like it’s for good reason, ask God for wisdom and for Him to provide another way. Trust Him even if He calls you to a very different day or season than you had planned. THE WORD FOR 3/10

Jesus said, "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." (John 8:31-32)

Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. (Joshua 1:8)

All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realise what is wrong in our lives.  (2 Timothy 3:16)

God's Word is alive! The more you expose yourself to it, the more it will expose itself to you. To know God better you must spend time hearing what He has to say. The Bible is His message to you. If you want Him to listen to what you have to say, you should also listen to what He has to say. Although God can also speak directly to your heart, you need to know His written Word so you can judge whether God is speaking to you, or the enemy is trying to deceive you. God will not love you more because you read the Bible. It's for your benefit -- not required to make God love you. However, without reading the Bible, you will not grow spiritually, and you will be more easily deceived.

LET'S PURPOSE IN OUR HEARTS TO READ HIS WORD DILIGENTLY.
