genesis is a fictional south korean girl group under nexus media. the group consists of six members: miyu, seoah, jihyun, haeun, gyuri and yujin. on september 5th, a short film titled 'as the sun rises.' was uploaded to the freshly-created genesis youtube channel. in the ten days leading up to debut, the groups socials were updated with photo and video teasers of the members. the group made their debut on september 15th, 2022.
