even if you don’t fight aced in the final fights of khx there’s still the mission where you fight him much earlier on so  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

but i do like to think that aced had well and truly lost himself in that battle and couldn’t tell friend from foe, and he attacked maeve anyways, despite her saying she was part of his union, over and over. his paranoia made him see traitors everywhere, and he accused her of being a dandelion spy and a traitor.

it really did hurt maeve because she did think of aced as something of a father figure- i like to think that when the unions were just starting, before all the traitor nonsense, aced regularly interacted with the members of his union and mentored them.

immediate, clear interest in both the other & her weapon, shows in how her eyes & tone light up. has to be something to do with magic, right? skill of its wielder? she may be master, but it never hurts to want to improve further.

the closest thing she’s had to an upgraded keyblade is stormfall, & even then she just considers it improved from rainfell, after meeting those two boys on their island.

“mhm! you need certain materials to upgrade them, though. usually it’s stuff from the world where the keychain’s from.”

the only one of maeve’s keyblade that wasn’t upgraded fully was olympia, since she’d only use it when a mission required her to. it was just easier to use starlight when she’d been given the choice. 

rummaging through her bag, she pulled out a bottle of netherwater from the underworld, and a few pieces of iron ore. she knelt down, placing olympia on the ground, and the pieces of iron ore on top of it.

“it’s usually really mundane stuff too, oddly enough. flowers from that big field in the dwarf woodlands, fire from the coliseum, or sand from agrabah. “

hiatus notice.

so! i’ve been seriously debating this for a while now, and nanowrimo was the thing that finally pushed me to do this. i’ll be taking the month of november to get my life in order and try and get my mental health back to a good place, as well as work on the next chapter of “winter in the woods” and a few oneshots i’m working on.

my multimuses ( arcanalink and tempestried ) as well as ingrid’s blog will be on full hiatus. cassandra and maeve’s blogs will be on low activity semi-hiatus. i’ll be there when i have the energy and desire, and even then, i’ll be replying probably to close friends. 

i need to find a job and help around the house more, and being on here isn’t really helping me right now. i feel guilty for not being on one blog when i’m on another, as well as my spotty activity overall, which makes me not want to be on any of my blogs. so for now, i’m just gonna step away all together.
