Lebron James just purchased a home in Los Angeles!

His new $21 million mansion is located in Brentwood. Talk about a long commute!

According to Variety, this mansion is, “...designed by mansion specialist Ken Ungar, and custom built in 2011 for a real estate developer and his family, the dignified, understated and architecturally asymmetrical six-bedroom and seven-bathroom Colonial measures in at a hefty but, by today’s bigger-is-better standard, hardly humongous, 9,350 square feet.”

Matt Damon Quietly Selling Pacific Palisades Home

Shortly after Ben Affleck listed his home for sale, his bestie, Matt Damon, decided to quietly sell his Pacific Palisades compound. Even though it isn’t on the open market, it is listed for around $20 million. 

According to LA Curbed, the home is equipped “...with seven bedrooms; vaulted, 35-foot mahogany ceilings; ‘a serious gym’; an atrium; a fabulous pool; and a five-car garage.” The 9,000 sq. ft. home was built in 2004 on a .68-acre lot.

Taylor Swift Buys the Pedigreed Goldwyn Estate in Beverly Hills for $25 Million

The Goldwyn estate was designed by architect Douglas Honnold for Samuel Goldwyn. The estate was then handed down to his son, Samuel Goldwyn Jr. The place was handed down from Goldwyn Sr. to his son, Samuel Goldwyn Jr.

Tom Cruise originally bought this state in April 2007 for $30.5 million. This multi-winged mansion includes: 

A long, gated driveway

10,000 square feet

Seven bedrooms

Nine bathrooms

1.3 acres

Motor court with swimming-pool-sized fountain

Lighted tennis court with basketball hoops

A lap-length swimming pool

A children’s playground

And a couple of guesthouses

He is reported to be selling this mansion for $50 million.

Los Angeles is in the running to host the 2024 Olympics!  The other four cities also in the running are: Budapest, Hamburg, Paris, and Rome.  In a pool of European cities, Los Angeles certainly sticks out, but will it be enough? 

According to Curbed LA, “...the bid also calls for an enormous new Olympic Village on an LA River parcel owned by a company that has previously refused to sell and lots of other inexplicable costs that have made city analysts very skeptical that the city will turn a profit as the bid promises.”

I guess we will have to see how this turns out!
