it’s still you.
Just starting playing veilguard and im already pissed 😠why does rook start out automatically smarmy and sarcastic
The dialogue is so awkward. These aren't characters, they're tools for plot exposition.
The combat is pretty tedious considering its 80% dodging. The qamekmaster fight took me way too long bc its just use ability, dodge 6 times, hit, dodge 10 times.
Oh okay so combat gets worse. Its just random chaotic onslaught.
Okay so the more I play the more I like the characters but now I'm more disappointed than ever how badly they suffered from bioware's lack of vision and execution
Love that Emmrich and Harding are going on a camping trip to Fereldan after the Inquisitor said that Southern Thedas is totally nuked. Girls Denerim has fallen. What are we doing.
Davrin's quest really hammered home how surface level this game is. It went on and on about how evil isseya is so we could have a clear cut Bad Guy instead of doing anything interesting with the Grey wardens. In the other games we got to see cool explorations of how inherently immoral the Grey wardens are, because they have to be. The blight is a complete world ending obliteration. The wardens cannot be beholden to laws or society. Their only goal is to stop the blight and their whole creed emphasizes doing whatever it takes. Using blood magic on the griffons worked! It ended the blight! What is "going too far" in the case of something like that? Who determines that and how? Not only that the game explicitly says isseya was ordered to do it by the first warden and felt so guilty about it she secretly saved a clutch of eggs. But we cant explore that at all. Its just "isseya is the Bad Guy who betrayed the wardens who are Good Guys." Oh and surprise her motivations were with Ghilanain all along.
If I didn't know this game didn't let you be evil I would've thought destroying the nadas dirthalen was an evil choice
I genuinely dont know what the ever loving fuck happened with the butcher and ivenci. Like maybe that quest line makes more sense if you save Treviso but. Going in having played all the other games I actually thought ivenci was right about the city needing real governance over letting it be run by assassins. But veilguard needed all the factions to be Good Guys so instead we get the crows being noble community protectors instead of. Ya know. Paid killers.
I miss anders
Remember how we were able to magically transfer the soul of an archdemon into a child whose existence was manufactured by the millenia old spirit of an ancient god. And then we never heard about it again.
Alright. So. I've had to put this game down for a couple days. The more I think about the "lore drops" the angrier I get. This goes so far beyond leaving things deliberately open ended to allow for future games. This is all just bald-faced nonsense.
