glad to see isaac has graduated from “doomed by the narrative” to “haunting the narrative” in mewgenics he's everywhere. like not anything particularly important but the small insignificant references are everywhere and it adds up. it's both heartbreaking but sweet to know isaac's death did have a significant impact on the world around him, even if it’s in ways that aren't relevant to the cats or the player. people looked for him and mourned him. at least a few people out there loved that kid a whole lot and yet he never saw any of it while he was alive.

i think friend is a little touch starved due to being made to serve but still experiencing emotions & not being able to openly want because of its purpose, sometimes it comes up to gaster while he's doing his work n stuff just to watch and on autopilot he pets it without noticing (no intent of affection, more like a fidget toy) and that makes it Feel many things it probably shouldn't. "What is this" "why does it feel good" "why do i like it" "is this normal" type thoughts it does NOT know how to deal with because nobody bothered to treat it like a person ever.

Also It probably got gaster a mug that says "#1 CREATOR" at some point and he thought it was funny as shit. And perhaps didn't say thank you because he doesn't know friend is a fully sentient person being & stuff. Doomed... family?

Presuming that FRIEND is the Ch5 secret boss and Ralsei is gonna fight them alone: here's how I think the meta parallels are gonna play out between them.

Spamton NEO fight was Kris confronting their fear of being "puppeted" by the soul. Gerson fight was Susie confronting her lack of confidence in learning new skills and always being seen as the "bad girl".

I think FRIEND fight could be Ralsei confronting his role as a "guide" to the lighteners in terms of the prophecy, and the fact that he has been deceiving them by not explaining everything that's supposed to happen and what the heroes will be expected to do at the end of it all.

Ralsei desperately wants to avert the tragedies the prophecy fortells, but as someone who thought of themselves as only a tool to serve lighteners for so long he has trouble thinking for himself, or thinking outside of the box at all.

FRIEND (as the pointed tail)is also a dark creature that "guides" lighteners, but is heavily hinted to be malevolent and leads them down bad paths. But what if it's only doing this because of it's role in the prophecy? What if they view their actions as "correct" despite any suffering it might cause others because they are fully committed to following the prophecy as their way of serving the lighteners?

The end of the fight would be Ralsei telling FRIEND that protecting the light and dark worlds is more important than following the prophecy and that he's confident that the heroes will find a way to make a happy ending even if the prophecy predicts tragedy. Maybe the "pointed tail" will even end up being the scarf.
