❝U-uhhh…❞ She’s lagging verbally, and stupidly, Sarah echoes the other’s grand opener.

She’s never opposed to being a complete smartass, despite Noct and how overly-cautious he is. What they have is an unspoken thing. It’s the only option, as it is too fragile a thing, and even whispering its name might let it all shatter.

What’s worse is, Sarah sometimes worries that she’s the only one giving it that much significance. She knows, after all, that besides his discomfort with Ignis knowing, Noctis has a duty far greater, going far beyond… Human relationships. Something like affection ( love? ) simply can’t measure up to his importance; to his role.

For his sake, she is careful with her words, whilst still staying true to herself—or as much as she can.

And what she means by that is, she claimed it as hers. Noctis never fought her for it.
