The goal of almost every Pit Fighter was to make it into the Inner District, past the wall that separated the civilized world from the trash, into the glimmering city that loomed over the Pit with its great towers and flying aircrafts. Where food was in excess and clothes were tailored to your form.

Everyone that made it this far believed they were ‘the one’—the one to finally defeat the Champion, the one to make it into the Inner City. The one to make it out alive.

They never did.

Intentional misspellings and unusual handling of words is one of my favorite “minor” memes tbh I love it so much. Here are some of my all time favorites:

▪ Replacing “ck” with “cc” (ie. succ, thicc)

▪ Replacing “t” with “d” and vice-versa (ie. gotdamn,shid,blocket)

▪ Just… every kind of weird variation you can do with the word “fuck” (ie. fuckening, fucky)

▪ Weird jumbling of curse words that somewhat resemble something coherent (ie. mother fuck of a shit, shut the hell your mouth)

▪ Replacing a vowel in a word with another (ie. borger)

Okay, I just discovered Geraskier and I've been haunting the Geralt/Jaskier pairing in AO3. I haven't had much sleep so go easy on me:

Jaskier is a "Songbird" hiding as a Human Bard.

Songbirds are mythological creatures that wields music/songs as weapons. They can raise armies and make heroes of old swoon with a simple song. Or, make monsters from before the Conjunction fall into a deep slumber or become petrified.

Very powerful creatures.

That's just what they need considering monsters from before the Conjunction are slowly but surely crawling out of the dark pit to wreck havoc in the world.

So yes, they need a Songbird.

Only problem is, there hasn't been a Songbird sighted in hundreds of years, maybe because they've been hunted down for their power.

So yes, right now the gang is searching for Songbirds, The Witchers and Sorcerers alike, pooling over maps and chasing rumours obsessively.

While Jaskier is sweating nervously in the background and desperately hoping no one realizes.

The pair of amber eyes were unblinking. Their gaze still fixed, they grew calm like a setting sun above the coast, and Jaskier could read none of the usual annoyance or weariness in them. They were very quiet eyes, but right now, they spoke volumes.

I guess this is how I’m processing what we’re all going through right now. I had the stray thought, “What is Spider-Man doing during all this?” and this happened. On the one hand, it’s kinda sloppy and inconsistent, but on the other hand, I had the idea Sunday night and I’m posting this Wednesday night. 5 color pages in 4 nights is pretty good work. Anyway. That’s the way he was.
