There had been hesitation on Cloud’s part when he found himself face to face with familiar friends, but with Tifa there was none. Perhaps it was because he’d seen her only hours prior to his sudden capture. Either way, Cloud was quick to force himself through a crowd of people just to get to her. “Tifa!” He called out.

It was strange. If they’d been taken at the same time, why hadn’t he seen her until now? It was possible they had some how missed each other, but…Cloud had a nagging feeling there was more to it than that.

immediately after she arrives, she nodded over toward the location of the rides nearest to the boardwalk, leading her friend gently by the arm. “tifa! look, doesn’t this place remind you of the golden saucer?” aerith had seen this place from a distance but she never really had the time to visit the amusement park at the golden ward until now. maybe it didn’t look as fancy but it still seems like a lot of fun to explore. “it may look less fancy but we could still have fun, right? like that ferris wheel over there!” and plus, maybe she needed to catch up with tifa anyway and this may be a good chance for them to hang out.

✣ Though she’s been trying to keep herself together and has been doing a pretty good job at it, the truth is that it’s been... Pretty difficult for Tifa.

To suddenly see a friend that had lost her life so violently walking about as if nothing happened at all had been more than startling to the brawler. While she is, of course, more than happy (almost to the point of tears) to see the Cetra again, the brunette is also incredibly worried for the other. What if something happens to her again? What if she can’t save her like last time? What if--

❝ That’s what I thought when I first came here, actually! ❞ snapping out of her thoughts for now, the woman now gives the other a soft smile as the two of them now begin their way down the boardwalk. It’s nice, in a way; to be with Aerith like this. It reminds her of a simpler time, when things weren’t so bleak and strained...

✣ All she can do is watch the familiar face attempt to recount how long it had been, her crimson eyes widened with disbelief and shock. It’s almost as if, in Tifa’s mind, confirming that Zack really has been gone for that long... So long that time has stopped for him since that time in Nibelheim; when everything went horribly wrong.

When Tifa’s (and Cloud’s) life changed forever and left her with scars that will never entirely heal.

❝ That’s… Something of an understatement, ❞ is all she finds herself saying, sanguine hues looking downwards for now. What does she say to him? What can she say? For a moment, she debates on asking about Cloud; if somehow, some way, Zack knew about everything that happened to him after the incident on Nibelheim... But for now, she refrains from doing so.

That’s a whole new can of worms for another time, she thinks.
