i need to write up a proper verse of it, BUT

out of respect of what’s happening to the queer community in russia rn, i’m not setting dima’s modern verse there. he’ll probably be an immigrant or first generation, but his verse will be set in america. i doesn’t feel right to me at the moment to write a fictional queer character in modern russia, since real lives are at stake right now.
