What should I do with this? 🤔 I started this Granny Square back in 2013 as a sampler /stash buster and also as a project to keep my hands busy while I was on holiday. 👐 Crochet is my go-to activity when I'm stressed. It helps me to relax and take my brain out of gear. And Granny Squares are perfect because it's an easy repetitive pattern. 👌 It's been stuck in my big bag of bits n bobs ever since but I found it again the other day and thought I should do something with it... Looks like coffee✔️ Smells like coffee✔️ Tastes like coffee✔️ ☕ The Dandelion Coffee adventure was a big success and no-one is more surprised than me (except maybe Rog) 😂 I scrubbed the roots and cut them into matchsticks roughly evenly sized and put them in a fan oven at 180°C for 35\45 mins. Some cooked faster than others so I just judged on colour - dark brown and they were ready. Any lighter and they were chewyish and didn't grind well so I put them back in. Rog wouldn't let me use his coffee grinder so I just roughly whizzed them in my wee whizzer. ☕ 2 tsp in cold water in a pan on the stove, brought to the boil and simmered until it looked like coffee! 😋 It was much less faff than I thought it would be and I'm definitely going to do it again.
