"Gone.. its gone, my baby." She was still staring at the lifeless computer. She glanced at Babs and would’ve laughed at her expression if she wasn’t mourning the loss of her beloved computer.
Shaking herself, she pulled the tower out, and grabbed a screwdriver. “Guess I start from scratch again.” She muttered, sliding to the floor.
She registered that Babs had asked a question. “My computer overloaded and fritzed. Not the first time, but its a pain in the ass when it does.”
Since the computer was no longer diagnosing her circuits, Babs disconnected her cable and then joined Charliane on the floor. A look at the opened computer tower quickly provided the source of her troubles.
"This is an inferior processor, Charliane. Your system is…primitive. Here," she clicked open a panel at her thigh, and pulled out a small flat square that was see-through and about an cubic inch in diameter, pressing it into her hand and closing the panel back. "Perhaps this will help?" A spare processor, one of several she had stored in this and the matching cavity on her other thigh, useful in self-diagnosing and repairing errors of wear and tear that would occur on any system. For now, it seemed to GIRL that her technician was in much greater need of the part than she herself was.
She blinked at the part and looked at her. "You sure, Babs?" It was obvious in her voice that she was excited and itching to get working on the computer now, especially with this new piece of tech to work and experiment with.
Setting the piece down reverently on the desk, she hopped up and pulled a set of chunky black and gold goggles and a wig out of her closet, briskly getting it put on. with her hair tucked away. "Its important to have the right attire when you do something like this, or it jinxes your work." She nodded seriously, dreds swinging.
