zack sat up in his seat, adjusting himself to be more comfortable once ophelia had seemed to notice him. an unlikely pair but at least he had somewhat of a familiar face there to help ease the boredom. "this is just lovely, isn't it? the worst possible time for something like this to get cancelled. fucking crazy." he was a little dramatic at the least, checking his phone ever so often with no new notifications.

"chicago. i have a match and was going to meet liv there, but now that's stumped my plans for a while. what's got you traveling?"

"i need a drink. you don't think it's frowned upon to drink to pass the time?", she genuinely asked zack, hoping he'd say it's all good and maybe join her.
