ALSO!! (sorry last ask) speaking of leo, i had a hc/idea for a fic:
- andi buffy and jonah all want something from this one guy that they know has a crush on cyrus (maybe leo?) and they ask him to flirt with him so that they can get it and cyrus keeps refusing and has been for months bc he doesn’t wanna hurt tj and that it would be mean. but one day after months of pestering he goes over and sits at his table during lunch when tj was late one day and is all smiley and his usual self but a little tuned up, being all giggly and touching his arm n stuff. pulling out the doe eyes and everything…and then, oh dear, tj comes in, and comes to sit at their table. he questions where cyrus is and they all look like deer in headlights, and before they can think of an excuse, he spots cyrus across the room, smiling and giggling at leo fuckin tom!!
This sounds like such a great idea! Do you plan on writing it or?? Cause like Cyrus would be all, "Stop! Im pretty sure that counts as cheating, I have a boyfriend, who I love very much! And I will not flirt with Leo just because he has whatever it is you guys want! It's not nice to play with others feelings like that!" And Buffy's like, "But it wouldn't be playing with his feelings, just exploiting them a bit to get what we need."
"Yeah, you don't even have to flirt just be like super nice and giggly," Andi says, waving around a chip.
"And touch his arm a bit, guys like that!" Jonah butts in, placing his hand on Cyrus' shoulder and wiggling his eyebrows.
Cyrus is gobsmacked by their sheer audacity, shaking Jonah's hand off of his shoulder and crossing his arms with a stubborn, "No."
And before they can even try and go at him again, T.J. comes and sits beside Cyrus, slinging his arm right over his shoulder and pulling the small boy to his side, "Why's my baby so upset?"
Everyone is immediately silent, feeling awkward as their only obstacle makes himself known, picking at their food and avoiding contact.
Cyrus just melts into T.J., wrapping his arms around his chest and burying his face there, "Just a disagreement, but don't worry about it, it's over and done." And he shoots his friends a glare out of the corner of his eye, watching them nod in agreement.
T.J. brushes it off and the rest of lunch goes about as normal, if a little tense.
Despite it being over and done, Andi, Buffy, and Jonah continue to pester Cyrus about it any time he even begins to think they've actually dropped it.
Then 3 months later, during lunch, noticing T.J.'s absent, they bring it up once more. "C'mon, Cy-guy! It would really help us out!" Jonah pleads, hands together, amber green eyes puppy dogging their way through Cyrus.
"Yeah, Cyrus, we've tried talking to him but he keeps saying no! Stingy little bastard!" Buffy gripes, shooting a glare across the cafeteria.
Andi reaches across the table, clasping his hands between hers, "Please! We're almost out of time, we need this now!"
Cyrus can see how desperate they are, can feel their eyes boring into him, pressuring him. Their words digging into him. It's just a little talk. No one's gonna get hurt. Leo's my locker buddy, it wouldn't be weird to talk to him...even if we are no where near our lockers. With a sigh and a rub at his eyes Cyrus nods slowly, "Fine, I'll talk to him-only talk! And I'll try to get what you guys need but if I can't that's the end of it. Okay?" His eyes firm as he stares all three of them down, pointer finger going between them.
They nod in agreement, relieved with his cooperation.
Cyrus huffs, standing on shaky legs and makes his way across the cafeteria to where Leo is sitting with his friends. With a deep breath to gather courage and settle his nerves he taps Leo on the shoulder, smiling when he turns and looks up at him a smile lighting up his features.
"Cyrus! Hey, how are you? Do you want to sit down?" And quickly Leo is scooching over on the bench, making space even though there's plenty.
Cyrus is internally horrified at how easily a sweet giggle passes his lips, but he nods and sits down, "Yeah, thanks. Sorry, I'm not interrupting you and your friends?" He looks at the other four boys sitting around the table.
Leo shakes his head finally looking away from Cyrus to his friends, "Oh no! They were just talking amongst themselves, but we can talk with each other!" He looks back to Cyrus expectantly and Cyrus freezes, he didn't come prepared with conversation topics. He shouldn't have been so rash just to get his friends to stop hounding him for this.
Buying for time he lets the tips of his fingers trace over Leo's shoulder, watching the way Leo's eyes zone in on his fingers as he sits a little straighter.
"I heard you entered the Mixed Media's Art Competition." Cyrus looks up at Leo through his lashes, hand coming to rest on his bicep, "Do you know what you'll be submitting?"
Leo gulps, pink tinging the apples of his cheeks as he nods dumbly before remembering he can talk, "Yeah! I was thinking on sculpting--"
Cyrus nods along with a smile as Leo begins explaining to him the idea behind his piece.
And, Buffy, and Jonah watch intently as Cyrus talks animatedly with Leo, casually leaning in with laughter, and pushing away with light touches.
"Cyrus is a natural flirt," Buffy observes, biting into her wrap.
"For real, if I didn’t know any better I'd think he was actually into Leo," Jonah nods along, slurping his apple sauce.
Andi tilts her head, "You think he'll remember what he's there to do?"
Before anyone of them can answer, T.J. is sitting down in front of them, two chocolate chocolate chip muffins on his tray. "Hey guys, where is Cyrus?"
All three are caught by surprise at his sudden appearance, they forgot about T.J.! They stare at him like deer caught in headlights, waiting for the crash.
"Is he still in line?" And T.J. turns to look for Cyrus his body going rigid when he spots him across the cafeteria sitting, just a little too close, to Leo Fucking Tom. Laughing just a little too cutely. Touching him just a little too much.
T.J. stands up, grabbing one of the muffins before storming out of the canteen.
The three friends watch him leave, scared to make a sound, to even move. But all at once they turn back to Cyrus and see the look of horror across his face as he stares at the doors T.J. just pushed past.
Leo none the wiser as he continues talking to Cyrus.
