"This reminded me of you" is such a tender sentence. Oh to have impacted someone so much that they find bits of your soul and hold the memory of you in things and places when you're not around.

Hi everyone!
I've started a Substack!
Over the years, I've shared by heart with all of you here and I now want to share some longer essays that have long remained in my notes with you too! I hope you give me your love there too!
PS: My Substack is not monetized, I want to be able to share my thoughts with all of you freely!
Love,
K

How weird is it that every person we ever fall in love with was once a stranger to us. As if all our choices and decisions led us up to them. As if we were meant to find home in the heart of someone who was once a complete stranger to us. Just the utter notion that love is written in fate and chance fascinates me.
There's something about women. Some so deep and overwhelming.
How does your soft heart encompass so much love and rage at the same time, my little girl? How do you hold the world's weight on your shoulders and your life's hope in your heart, and still find the strength to fight the war you were never trained for?
Perhaps, this exactly is womanhood?
The more I grow, the more I realise that the only true purpose we have on this planet is to love others and let others love us
“ You will always be fond of me. I represent to you all the sins you never had the courage to commit.”

Losing people is so heartbreaking. How cruel is it that suddenly you have all these leftover memories and information of a person but not them.
You read a book you think they'll like but they're not in your life anymore for you to recommend it to them, you buy their favourite flowers but they aren't there to recieve them, it's their mom's birthday but you can't wish them, you're eating their favourite flavour of icecream but not with them.
It feels as though every moment that you once treasured is now forever incomplete.
The more I grow, the more I realise that the only true purpose we have on this planet is to love others and let others love us

My friend and I were having a conversation about a project she wanted to take up but was too afraid to and this is how it went:
"But what if it doesn't work out?"
" Well, there's growth in victory and there's growth in failure. I think at the end of the day you'll know more than you know now. And that's pretty amazing if you ask me"
And that's probably one of best pieces of advice I've ever given
