two gay men got arrested for fucking in a public bathroom but they argued since you had to pay for it it was a hotel and it was fine. their defence worked and we dont have to pay for bathrooms anymore
Ok guys I know we want to celebrate victories in queer history but
1. Googling "Canada gay sex pay toilets" just brings up a bunch of reblogs of this post
2. There does not seem to have been any sort of norm of public toilets in Canada charging money to use in the 20th century
3. I am neither Canadian nor a lawyer but I find it extremely hard to believe that there is any jurisdiction on earth where charging money to use a public toilet makes it legally constitute a hotel room and therefore OK to have sex in.

Hello to anyone who still follows my page. I'll use this ask as a way to post a little update.
I've been gone awhile but I decided to try and come back to tumblr. I don't think I will be posting any lewd content anymore because I don't think I feel comfortable doing it now that I have a partner. Also, my dysphoria has been kicking my butt so I don't even have the will to look at my body in that way again.
I wish I could still have a little community here or at least a couple of mutuals to interact with like before since that is the thing I miss the most about this place.

I'm thinking of deleting tumblr cause I've stopped using it and don't really see a point in keeping the app on my phone. I might leave the account on in case I ever want to come back or I might just delete it all, I haven't decided on that yet. On May 2nd at around 10pm, I turned 21 years old and I celebrated this with my boyfriend and his family, without a care in the world.
On May 3rd at around 8:30am, a boy, aged 13, shot up his middle school killing 8 kids, 8 of his friends, and a security guard, and wounded many.
On May 4th, at around 11pm, a guy, aged 20, used an AR to shoot and kill 8 people while wounding nearly 20 others, some who were his friends and some who never even knew he existed because he didn't stop himself and shooting up one place, and instead as he ran from police he shot up multiple villages.
These are just two of the many tragedies that have struck my country in the past two and a half days.
I am at a loss of words. In my 21 years of living here, I never thought something as tragic as this could happen here. I don't think anyone here thought that. The whole country is in shock and grief, it is furious but also terrified.
Another thing that, to me, makes all of this even more surreal is that we are forced to continue functioning like nothing happened. I still have to show up to my college classes and follow what the professor is saying, while my mind is racing about what is currently happening in my country. People still have to go to work, some even have to send their children to school worrying if they're sending them to their death instead.
I can't help but to feel guilt. I feel guilt for being given the opportunity to celebrate my birthday when only hours after there will be families finding out that their 13 year old child won't ever get the chance to do the same as me. I feel guilt that people who were my age also got that ability taken away from them only a day after the first tragedy. I feel guilt for getting to continue my life when those 17 souls lost theirs.
