It has been a while due to a lot of things that happened in the last couple of years, like a divorce. But I hope to be back to write more often. I quited making paintings and drawings, because my hyperfocus was set on other things. Like studying. Ik finished two studies in the last two years: one medical study and a study to become a herbalist. Which I won’t be, because I started a new study last year. I hope to pass my examns in October, and get my papers to become a orthomoleculair nutritionist. Bám!

I also bought a ‘chalet’, a trailer and got myself a beautiful place in the woods of the Veluwe in The Netherlands. I hope to spend a lot of free time over there, starting December 2021, because then all will be ready to stay.

Oh, and I got myself a new camera with a macro lens: a Canon RP with a Canon 100mm f/2.8 lens. So I’ll be posting some pictures I made with it next time.

The Chicken Waltz

Day 19 - January 19, 2019 I have a confession to make. Everytime I take a shower eand wash my hair, I lose some. Just like everybody. But my hair is black and long, so it always looks like a lot. Bevause I don’t want to flush the hair with the water, I collect it during shampooing and stick it to te bathroom wall (see picture). Yeah, I know, it sounds a bit weird, but he, that’s me.

Hair chicken This time I was looking at it and saw a dancing chicken, so I decided to take a picture of it and try to draw it. And to be honest, I liked it. Noodlot

Day 10 - January 10, 2019 Acrylic paint, indian ink, and pencil on paper, 15x21 cm. ‘Noodlot’ is the title of a Dutch book (literature) by Louis Couperus (1890) I read during my study of the Dutch language. It means ‘Fate’. The painting is based on the first sentence in the book: “His hands in the pockets, the collar of his fur coat up, Frank walked through the blowing snow, along the lonely Adelaide Road in the evening.” (Google translate Dutch-English). First time I worked with acrylic paint. Because I’m not a good ‘real life’ artist, I followed an online class to learn to to draw lines of action. The first line I mad was with a oencil. After that I took my dip pen and made some extra lines.

I kinda liked it, so I decided to give it some color with acrylic paint. That was awful, because I don’t know anything about colors at all.

I wanted to throw it in the garbage bin, but decided to put on a new layer of paint. And a new one. And... Well, finally it was finished.

Kick ‘m in the balls!

Day 5 - January 5, 2019 Series of four drawings. The first three are videostills of Trump’s ‘conversation’ about women. The last drawing is Trump saying the world’s most famous mysogynistic words: ‘Grab ‘m by the Pussy’. My reply: ‘Kick ‘m in the Balls!’ Non-dominant hand drawing, pen.
