Meeting the mosaicist and writer Helen Miles was, for me, one of the brightest highlights of the summer of 2017. I was delighted to read her most recent blog entry detailing the blustery, adventurous day we had scouting out mosaics all around town, especially on a day like today that reinforced the stubbornness of the seasons. I will proceed to shuffle patiently through the frigid temps until the snow thaws and I can clearly see the ground again, to walk without slipping, and to be inspired to seek out new work upon (and set into) it. Here’s to hoping that will be in some wild, unexplored parts of this beautiful world!
Hey Kat! I only just saw this now - how did that happen? - thanks so much for this. Our day in Chicago was definitely a highlight for me too :)
