lately i write every day — 30 to 60 minutes, five days a week.

and i've noticed i've become a little obsessed with these stories.

not in a bad way.

it's just that i never really leave them.

when regularity and discipline kick in, it's like you stay inside the world all the time.

scenes loop in your head during the day.

dialogue pops up out of nowhere.

you're always slightly *there*.

and it's a strange feeling.

on one hand — it's great. the flow doesn't break.

you don't drop out, you don't lose the thread.

on the other — sometimes i want to learn how to close that stream.

to switch off.

to return to silence.

i don't quite know how to do that yet.
