Ace Attorney blog because I feel bad for spamming my main with it even though I started as a Zelda blog. TBH I don't think this blog is that terrible but I do like talking nsfw sometimes. 18+

My name's Helio, 24 years old. I'm a SCAD alumnus studied Sequential Art. Nonbinary, acearo-spec, neopronouns in bio. Don't feel scared about asking me how to use them.
Favorite characters: Phoenix and Pearl
Ships: Mitsunaru for the most part, but I'm also interested in Feenris, Franmaya, Franmayakay, lanamiego, Mistgreg
Super interested in the Fey-Edgeworth family theory and may write it as part of my main set of headcanons. Despite that, Irisworth and Mirisnix, as I call it, are also ships that I like to see from now and then. So consider those ships part of a different headcanon land if I ever talk about it. I'll never talk about Feyworth family and Mirisnix in the same HC land.
I've seen PWT, AJAA, and am currently watching a playthrough of AAI.
I tag characters mostly by their first names unless this blog is the OP. Cases and games are tagged (ex: #Bridge to the turnabout, #trials and tribulations)

For the Wrightworth ask What kinds of dates do you think wrightworth would go on?
For black Miles Edgeworth, do you think that at the beginning of his career that he would style his hair in a way that would be deemed “acceptable” by white standards because it’s drilled into him by others? Or would he just not care about other’s opinions and style his hair however he pleases?
And what do you think about the idea that Miles’ mental health didn’t actually improve while abroad, he just shifted his guilt into fixing any problem he can around him and feels like he can never atone for all of the wrong he’s done. I think a better way for me to put it is that he feels his entire purpose is as a tool for justice both before and after choosing death, it’s just the way he functions changes and he feels like without a designated purpose he’s nothing. (Ok I just want an excuse to yap about Miles Edgeworth and one of the various interpretations on his mental health journey)
Love your Phoenix Wright and Miles Edgeworth designs and interpretations! They’re so awesome and I could stare at them forever
HELLO!!!! Oh 3 questions! I'll answer them as best as I can :) sorry if it seems like I ramble. I wrote this quickly and then got to drawing.
Phoenix and Miles first date?
Ooooh their first date? I've been wondering about that too recently. I have an abandoned wip where Miles was going to take Phoenix to dinner and offered them a credit card to buy themself "Whatever clothes they felt comfortable in. As long as it's formal." But never finished it. And… Hm… as much as I love to hear about them in a formal setting, wouldn't it be nice if their first date wasn't so… high-strung?
I tend to consider what fandom has already done and what happens to the characters. And fancy dinners where Phoenix is super out of their element isn't uncommon. I'd like to see them in a slightly looser environment. Somewhere where Miles isn't dressed to the nines and where Phoenix could look cute and comfortable. Lunch and museum date!!!!!!! Cafe date!!! Plaza/mall date??? In "If I Was a Worm," They go to a shopping plaza together, I think that could be the date :)
Black Miles and his hair
You wanna know something? In my usual version of wrightworth, Miles has curly hair and flat irons it for that reason. Gregory also had curly hair and often gelled it down. When Miles asked, he said it was more professional to straighten your hair out. Miles took that lesson into adulthood. I've been thinking about a way Chiefworth could style his hair in so he could finally enjoy his curls but haven't come up with anything that satisfies me.
For my black wrightworth au, I don't think it would necessarily be for the same reasons. But he would still straighten it out for a while. He'd probably think "I'm surrounded by white people. I live in Europe. I'm too busy with my studies. I don't have time to figure out how to care for my hair and how to wear it. Let's just use relaxer/perm it." Ig at the end of the day, you ARE right, though.
Before anyone asks, in both of these scenarios, the von Karmas don't think much about what he's doing to his hair or what it means about his self esteem as a person of color.
Choosing death
I feel like I have an incredibly different view of the "Prosecutor Miles Edgeworth Chooses Death" thing tbh. Yeah there was a lot of anguish there in the beginning. But for some reason I can't help but see it as something hopeful for Miles. I think I need more time with that thought, though. Though I do enjoy your interpretation of it a lot :0
Extra drawing below. Hidden because there's a doodle where Phoenix and Miles are shirtless.
