Suzuki Kanon appreciation post

Today I want to talk about Suzuki Kanon. She is a member of the Japanese Idol group Morning Musume. If you’re familiar with the idol world in Japan you probably know that most idols are super skinny so being chubby, Suzuki Kanon had to face a lot of critics over the years.

She is 16 years old and despite being good at dancing and signing she is one of the less popular members among Japanese fans, mostly because of her big frame.

It’s quite sad to see comments of people saying that she is not talented or pretty just because she is chubby. 

In the past years she had gained a lot of international fans and she is more popular overseas than in Japan itself. She has to face a lot of discrimination but still she keeps her bright smile, she is quite a strong girl and I admire her for that.

When I was 16 years old I was half the confident she is about her body!.

You might think that she doesn’t look fat or chubby but for Japanese standards she is bigger than the average.
