It took a few months, but my positive horror series is finally finished! A silly little project I started late September ended up with 14 images and rekindling my love of horror!
And as always, these designs can be purchased as stickers, prints, bags, pillows and more on my Redbubble store!
My take on the #SailorMoonRedraw challenge! I was a bit conflicted whether to draw her more in her classic anime/cute style, or whether to try something more realistic. Lotta pressure on myself, but hopefully I’ve done the iconic character justice! Even though I’m a whole year late, I HAD to do the challenge and draw her as she was such a pivotal character in my art journey – she was the very first thing I learned to draw when I was a kid! If it wasn’t for my sister teaching me how to draw her in those ‘How to Draw Manga in 5 Steps’ I might never have gotten to where I am today. So to my sister Kim, and to Usagi Tsukino, thank you! 👊🏼

A poignant look at last meals of innocent men who were executed for crimes they did not commit.

One of the simplest memes I’ve ever come across. Effective and hilarious.
This is gonna be the key future historians use to translate meme-language
The cost of land is high in Brazil and there’s very little space for a yard, so these homeowner’s architects brought the outdoors in. It’s called the Inside Out House.
Architects say this is a common problem in Sao Paolo, so they work to find the ideal for small plots of land.
The first step was to reverse the facades, to think of the project “inside out.”
Another unexpected decision for the client was the positioning of the bedrooms on the ground floor, usually used for social areas. This decision gives the bedrooms, greater privacy and silence.
I’m guessing that reversing the façade meant using cinder block for the walls.
At the request of the clients one of the courtyards became a water mirror, and with it, another important factor was the simultaneous design of the landscaping project.
Putting the social areas on the 2nd floor made them better lit and ventilated.
The shower on the 2nd level looks like it’s outside.
There’s a courtyard outside the bedrooms.
View of the courtyard from above.
By placing the outside deck on top of the home, there was room to plant a large tree and locate the terrace next to the living room.

The Kiss by Joel Peter-Witkin, circa 1982.
Witkin used the single head of a man, split it in half, and immortalized its embrace.
If you’re so inclined, leave a thank-you note in your mail box. 2020 is taking a hard chunk out of them, but they’re doing their damndest to add “fascism” to the list of things that won’t stop the mail…

TDOR 2020. Each candle represents one of the 350 transgender individuals killed this year globally. The United States, where I live, had 37 cases of fatal violence against trans people.
On this day, we remember those we have lost.

Dogor is the 18,000 year old pup that was found within the Siberian Permafrost, yet is not quite a dog nor a wolf, but a puzzling connection to both.
Dogor has been miraculously preserved within the permafrost, with its fur, teeth and even whiskers incredibly intact. Radiocarbon dating has placed the animal at 18,000 years old and researchers have suggested that the animal passed away at just 2 months old. The name Dogor means “Friend” in Yakut, a language spoken within Eastern Siberia.
Generally, genetic analysis can quite easily discern whether a discovered canine is a wolf or dog, but in this instance, the genetics suggest that it could be an ancestral link to both. Interestingly, Dogor lived at a time in canine evolutionary history when dogs and wolves began to branch off from each other. The general scientific consensus is that dogs and wolves split from a common ancestor, however, the process of how “dogs became dogs” is certainly contested, and Dogor could be a crucial piece in that puzzle.
If Dogor is determined to be a dog, it will be the oldest ever discovered. The next oldest, the Bonn-Oberkassel puppy, was discovered in Germany and was clearly determined to be a dog of around 14,000 years old, buried with a man and a woman.
The progression of climate change is melting the permafrost more rapidly, and discoveries like these are becoming more and more commonplace.
