Dabihawks but teenage runaways au 😈 and its to the same theme as “The Ballad of Lucy Grey Baird” where you have this angry, malnourished Touya who just realize nothing changed after he died, and he runs into a teenage Keigo who never had a chance to be anything more than he was

And they’re both hungry, tired, angry, and alone. So they stick together, hating the world and hating heroes but both secretly craving to be something great and good. But they’re not so they don’t even try. Keigo becomes like his father, a thief and a pickpocket with a quick temper. And Touya is nothing and everything like his, with an ambitious anger that has burned all goodness out of his heart as he performs and steals for money.

But then one day Keigo gets a chance to be good, to be better, to be a hero. He saves a life, maybe a few, maybe a lot. And finally, FINALLY, the HPSC sees him and his wings and his usefulness. And Keigo turns his back on his only friend to make ghosts proud, and Touya burns with a hotter rage and bitter heartbreak.

And thats when Touya finds the League of Villains, and once again they’re on opposite sides of the war but this time they know each others secrets, their desires, their triggers, every dark and bright piece of one another. But they’re still enemies and Dabi still dies and Hawks still can’t do anything to stop it.

And that isn’t the most Satoru “Born to die a weapon” Gojo- esque line EVER- idk what is 🫠

Bc he really did give up EVERYTHING to make the future better. He killed his best friend, the one person who ever truly understood him, because his students and the world wasn’t safe with Suguru in it anymore. It’s canon he rarely slept because he worked so tirelessly to do everything he could for his students. He wanted them to actually have childhoods, to enjoy their youth, their LIVES. He gave his body to the jujutsu world even after death so they could kill Sukuna and ensure everyone’s safety, and he didn’t even get a proper FUNERAL or burial!!!

He took all the shit from the higher ups and from the curses and from his friends all because he was raised to be this perfect weapon and never HIMSELF! Satoru never got to know who he was outside of what he could do for others and I think it just makes it even more tragic that “Satoru” died with Suguru because he was the only person to ever treat Satoru as if he was more than what he could do.

Thinking about the song “Almost, So Close, Maybe” by Mercer Henderson rn and how DELICIOUSLY it would fit with satosugu in a multi-chapter highschool AU hurt no comfort fic like-

This pining Gojo who thinks his best friend hung the stars with a Geto who yearns the exact same amount but he’s so emotionally reserved he can’t get himself to return all of Gojo’s obvious flirting 😩

And the whole time they keep having these lil moments: Suguru walking Satoru home on a cold night even tho they both know Satoru doesn’t get cold, cuddling after a long night and they both never mention it, Suguru buying Satoru gifts and sweets without Satoru even asking and Satoru doesn’t want to ask anything because he doesn’t know what it MEANS. ALMOST KISSES! IMAGINE IT! When they just get a little TOO close, and Satoru can literally feel Suguru’s breath on his lips and Suguru leans forward ONLY TO PULL AWAY BECAUSE HE’S STUPID AND SCARED!! And when they do kiss, it only happens at the worst times and they never mention it again and Suguru swears it all means nothingggggg

Every time I remember the way Lu Guang screamed in the Season 2 finale when Cheng Xiaoshi got shot, it only makes me wonder how many times he’s witnessed this exact scenario—and how, no matter how much time has passed, he’ll never get used to seeing his best friend die.

My theory is that the Season 1 & 2 timeline is the farthest he’s ever made it in his attempt to save Cheng Xiaoshi. That’s why I can completely understand the frustration and anger he felt, which he unleashed on the antagonist, tackling and punching him like a rabid beast. Lu Guang was furious, terrified even, and with good reason—he thought, yet again, someone had taken his friend’s life right in front of his eyes just when he was finally making progress toward saving him.

Oh, Lu Guang, you’re such a complex and great character. I could analyze you for hours.
