(I missed the ball didn't I?)
"Well, either way... thank you. You did help, and I appreciate it." Overlord or not, she'd taken action to get in touch. And it had kept more people from getting hurt, something Patch appreciated.
Patch's words of appreciation did help keep Luci's darker thoughts away for the moment, the taller imp smiling at the duke.
"You're welcome. If you ever want a proper break from your duties, give me a call, I know plenty of places that don't ask too many questions. "
Mainly because she owned them.
"But I'll take my leave if you'd prefer, I imagine you'd rather keep an eye on your brother's recovery then chat up some strange imp you just met."
"Well the overlords I'm used to are more murderous and conniving. Never known an imp to be one. But you really showed some initiative and leadership. Royalty can only do so much to protect the people, so I'm glad you're out there too." Sometimes their own kind had to get involved to look after each other.
"Ahh, well, to be perfectly honest I'm not officially an overlord. I've got the souls contracted, the weapons, the money, the information, the people, everything I'd need really. But I don't have any paperwork from Lucifer or what have you to prove it. I could kill another overlord I suppose, but I'd rather not paint a target on impkind's back."

"Oh! Miss Lucille!" He managed to catch her before she left, his cheek was still sore... but he'd live. "I just wanted to say thank you, I know you had your reasons, but your aid helped keep hellborn out of trouble while we were investigating. More people could of gotten hurt if you hadn't."
Well, there's that choice made for her. She'd shift her bag over her shoulders, trying not to let the thoughts popping up in her mind escape through her mouth.
He didn't need your help, just needed your buddies covering ground.
You call yourself an overlord, but you're still just a scared little bitch when anything related to that day shows up.
Instead, she slipped on a mask with practiced ease. Only a proper empath or psychic could get her true feelings out of her.
"You're welcome. I'm always willing to help assist my fellow hellborn. I must say, I was probably just as surprised hearing you were a duke as you were hearing I'm an overlord."

With the crisis averted, Anqt and her pack would retreat back to where they had come from, and Lucille packed up her laptop and the rest of the few things her mother had brought to Patch's manor.
She wondered if she should let Patch know she was leaving or just slip out. Or maybe she could check on Clem...or not, she already has plenty of friends worried for her, don't need to freak her out by meeting an overlord imp stranger that was too scared of being paralyzed to help.
"Imagine dying. Couldn't be me."
Is she upset she wasn't mentioned in the news report?
No, not at all.
"Damn, remind me not to piss off Ozzie. Fucker got knocked out in .5 seconds."
"Of course, the library and the study are available for your use. If you need something, ask my staff and they'll see to it they'll get it to you." Patch said, it was best until this was over to be close enough to relay messages between each other.
"We'll get to the bottom of this, I promise." Luci said, trying to reassure Patch before reaching into her coat and pulling out a necklace with her azmodean crystal in it, handing it over to the smaller, older imp.
"Relay Anqt and her pack their orders and make sure they're mobilized before bringing me my laptop." She'd request, the woman nodding before reopening the portal and going through before Luci began making her way into the building. She'd slip off her coat, holding it with one hand.
More oddities with her appearance revealed, with that long tail decorated with black rings and capped with a black spade, with what looked like another grey one a little bit further up.
Despite her desire to go out and help Patch rescue the imps...
...Luci is suddenly glad she didn't risk getting caught herself.
"I won't pry. Your business is your own... and I get the idea." Someone's personal story wasn't his business, what mattered was she was willing to make sure something didn't happen to anyone else while they were searching for the victims.
"I appreciate your help."
Lucille's reasons for...everything, were a lot more noble then most would expect for a demon aiming for the title of overlord. She wanted things to be better for those at the bottom of the social ladder. She just has to make sure to remember that when she got to the top.
"You're welcome. If it's not too much trouble, I would like to remain and direct my people from here. That way if either of our teams discover something it will be easier to coordinate our efforts."
The older woman nods, pulling out a smartphone out of her pocket and pressing a button to speed dial her employer.
"Yes it's me...Yes he agreed, he needs to stay here...alright, is Anqt coming too...Very well." Was all the older imp would say before stepping aside, allowing the shimmering portal of an asmodean crystal to form where she had been, before the owner of it stepped through.
First thing Patch might notice was the fact this 'employer' very much seemed related to the woman he had just talked to. Damn near looked like a younger clone of the woman, if it wasn't for the shorter hair, horns that curved even further into a ramlike shape with a strange coloration, the yellow bangs that might've been dyed, and generally more youthful and healthier appearance.
She had a large white scar covering her left cheek and part of her neck. She wore a long black coat with spikes decorating the shoulders and a bit of the arms, a black shirt with a lightning bolt design wrapped around it, and torn jeans. She wore black fingerless gloves as well. All around, a rather "punk" look.
Though perhaps the most odd part of this woman, was the fact she was 7ft tall.
"Greetings Patch. I am Lucille Fides, but please, call me Luci. I like to think of myself as Hell's first imp overlord. As such, I'd like to believe I have the resources to aid in this investigation, and believe me when I say I have more then enough reason to stop this monster."
Patch did a double take... ah. There was a small problem.
For an imp she looked very unique for their kind. That meant if she helped, she could be putting herself in harms way. Unless... if she was an 'overlord' or liked to think herself as one, that meant she had people under her.
Maybe that could help.
"Thanks for reaching out Luci. I'm not going to make a deal or ask for a favour... but if you're wanting to help without being owed anything, if you have any non imp people who work under you, I'd appreciate if you could spare some to sector B of the inner city. Some of my legion is down there, but I don't want to cause a panic, I just need the people to be kept an eye on, and if theres any trouble or sign of this sinner, then to try and slow them down and get help. Would that be alright?"
Luci had done her research. While she was yet to find the specific culprit, she found the connection of unique imps being targeted, and the paralytic slime left behind. Which was why she was here meeting with Patch and not out on the street, and had been waiting in her nicely defended HQ in the mean time.
She might be stronger then most imps, and a resistance to similar drugs due to...her past, but she didn't want to risk it, as she had no clue of knowing how she'd fair to with something that produced it and seemed to have a knack for surprise attacks.
She couldn't help but smile softly at the simple request Patch asked of her.
"I have just the woman for the job. A nice tall hellhound and her pack of friends could cover that area for us."
"And no, I don't require payment for this. If you'd rather I not waste time explaining, I'll just say I've gone through something similar to these victims in the past, and I'd rather not see them go through the same thing, or anything else this freak wants to do to them."
"I'm needed here, if she can come here and we talk, thats fine." They didn't have a lot of time. Not when they didn't know what this serial killer or kidnapper intended to do with their victims.

His estate was starting to get pretty full now. He has an overlord witness in one room, being watched by guards, then Asmodeus, Duedephelon, and Vassago in his study looking over his 'murder wall' and files. Then a few independent people keeping an eye out.
"I mean, I'll most certainly meet with her, but depending on who they are, I may have to decline their offer. The topic is sensitive, and I have to be careful with who gets involved. I'm sure you'll understand."
The older imp woman would smile as Patch agreed to the meeting, grateful the other was at least willing to hear her out.
"Wonderful. Lucille is in possession of an asmodean crystal, so she could be here right now if you desire. Or if you'd prefer, I could tell her you wish to meet somewhere else."

Wherever Patch was currently at, whether it be his home, place of work, or that of an associate, he'd find a knock at the door urging him to investigate. On the other side of the door, he'd find an imp waiting for him. An older one, with long black hair streaked with grey. She wore a black dress suit with a white undershirt and black tie, and used a cane with a gently glowing yellow orb at the top. Her hands were covered with black gloves, though white scaring could be seen on her exposed wrists. The skirt went down to her knees, though additional scarring could be seen on her exposed legs.
Her horns curved backwards gently, stopping in a crescent shape of sorts. She seemed to be of lust ring descent, if those heart covered wings were any indication.
"Sorry to bother you, Patch...but my dau-I mean, employer, has taken an interest in the disappearance of your friend, among others. She sent me to see if you'd like to meet her and discuss a temporary partnership to aide in the investigation. She is...particularly invested in this for reasons I'll leave to her to reveal."
The naked imp catches his attention, if only because nobody but the waiters is actually fully undressed. Valentino greets her with a smile, toxic fume escaping from his lips after he takes a drag of his cigarette holder.
ཐིཋྀ "Don't think I've seen you before."
"Having fun, chica?"
The imp smiles with ease, even if there was a small urge to insult Valentino to his face by saying how lackluster he and his little party was in comparison to Asmodeus' own festivities, just to see his reaction...On second thought, what she was going say next was probably going to warrant enough of a reaction on it's own.
"Of course. It's a pleasure to meet you, Valentino. I'm Lucille Fides...hopefully, future overlord of Imp City."
