The Feral God - Final Chapter 

"Will you stop looking at me like that?"

A slightly humorous (but eventually violent) AU set sometime around the 19th to 20th century in which Will Graham agrees to aid in an expedition to an unknown island. During the trip, Will gets himself separated and can’t find his way back to his group’s camp. Struggling to survive in the dense jungle, he meets and begins to travel with a seemingly feral man who he names Hannibal. Hannibal, who speaks no real language, originally sees Will as food. Will, caught up with trying to teach Hannibal modern ways, unknowingly foils every one of Hannibal’s plans to eat him. A dejected Hannibal gives up and eventually begins to see Will as a companion rather than as a meal. However, the two eventually find Will’s camp and their bond is tested when the group sees Hannibal as a danger and cages him.

Have you heard anything about Mason being recast and now being played by Joe Anderson in Season 3?

Yes, I’d heard rumours about Michael deciding not to return, and then today it’s been confirmed.

It’s a shame because I think he and Mads had great chemistry, and their scenes together were honestly the highlight of last season for me. But at the same time, the Verger storyline, in my opinion, has been rushed and jumbled up so much that I don’t think it left room for them to have too much to do together anyway…

I’m sure Mason’s face mutilation requiring heavy prosthetic make-up now makes it a little easier for them to change out the actor, so…that’s something?

Michael Pitt was easily my favorite person on the show, and Mason is my favorite character (along with Chilton of course). It makes me sad, but I already like Joe Anderson so the blow isn't too hard. It just makes me disappointed in a way that Pitt chose not to continue the role, he was the highlight of Season 2.

While I don’t use cool colors often, I do use a lot of warm purples, but the way this was going, it was just a cool colors kind of time. I wanted something very lush. Also do you ever want to put the entire lyrics to a song up but know that’d be overkill? Needless to say I did admittedly listen to Blank Space while painting this. Some of the lyrics just fit so well for Mason…and Season 2 of Hannibal in general!
