I actually don't ship it. No, I actually do think there is a platonic explanation. I see the vision but there's something far more interesting and complex out here. Have you perhaps considered expanding on the relationship between these two friends that canon has established? These buddies? These coworkers? These gal's gals? This man and this woman?

Friendships are such a huge part of people's lives and characters' arcs but they're always brushed aside in fandom. I'm tired of friends being ignored or thrown into a ship for a ship's sake. I honestly think friends might be more important than romantic partners but I might be biased. You can do what you want but I'm tired of it.

Men can be friends. Women can be friends. Gay people can be friends. Anyone can be friends. Please guys.
