Soo, since I recently gained a bunch of followers, I thought I'd make a lil introduction for my blog.
My name: Henry or any funny insult you can think of
My pronouns: Any
My age: 19
Where I'm from: Germany
Languages I know: German and English fluently, some French, some Japanese
This is my main blog and I use it for memes, shitposts, fandom posts, my original art and some social commentary.
My wizardry gimmick blog is @youreawizardhenry
The mandatory terms and conditions for interacting with my blog:
(If you skip them, you're on your own)
If you're under the impression that you may be related to me, get the hell out 💀
I generally don't post sexually explicit content here, but I discuss/portray mature political and social topics. There will be violence, gore and possibly suggestive content in my art. So if you're under 18, be aware of the risks and if you're under 15, please don't delve into the depths of my account. I am, however, not going to try and check the age of everyone in my notes.
If you have a history of mental health issues and content concerning existential dread or suicidal ideation triggers you, this blog is NOT for you.
I don't censor words. This has come up as a problem in the past, so be aware. (No, this doesn't mean I throw slurs around. I only use slurs I can specifically reclaim, and even that rarely.)
I rarely reblog art by other people and I will make sure to point out which specifically is mine. I don't mind if you repost it or use it in good faith, as long as you don't pretend it's yours or use it to spread any kind of hate.
This is a safe space for ALL members of the LGBTQIA+ community. We do NOT remove the T and we do NOT exclude bi or pan or ace or aro people. The same goes for microlabels. Everytime you complain about how many genders there are, we invent five more.
This is also a safe space for people of color, people of any ethnicity, people from any country, neurodivergent people, mentally ill people, disabled people, chronically ill people, therians and furries. (I'm not too educated on some of these topics, but the general rule of thumb is if it doesn't hurt anyone, it's safe here.)
I'm an atheist and I will criticize some aspects of religion or make fun of it lightheartedly, but religious people are also welcome here.
What I will NOT tolerate: Nazis, active preying on minors, racism, xenophobia, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, TERFS, hate directed at any specific kind of queer people, ableism, fatphobia, slutshaming, both religious doctrine AND anti-religious hate, hardcore capitalists because they just annoy me, Tate's boyfriends, rape culture, people who make light of any sort of abuse, any kind of unwarranted harrassment, ragebait and advertisements/self-promotions.
I block fanfiction writers because I don't want to see fanfiction on my dash. It's not personal.
I'm cringe, I'm aware of it, I will continue to be cringe and you cannot stop me.
If you send me an unsolicited dick pic, you'll get one back.

It's crazy to me that JKR turned out transphobic, acephobic, somewhat racist and generally bigoted when Harry Potter could so EASILY be read as an in-your-face allegory for being trans or part of any marginalized community.
Harry is repeatedly, severely abused for showing hints of his true identity and forced to be "normal", while never being able to perform normality well enough. Then, when he finally realizes who he truly is, he steps into a world full of new opportunities, where he can be himself, find people who love him for who he is, people who are just like him, and at the end of the last book he is happily living his true identity with his community.
You get my point? I am not claiming HP IS a trans allegory, because nobody wants JKR as an icon for the community she terrorizes, but there is an argument to be made here about Harry metaphorically being a trans girl.
You could say this for any other community she targeted, directly or indirectly, too. Ace people. Asian people. Black people. Autistic people. You are repressed, you are oppressed, then you find yourself and your community and everything gets better.
If I didn't know who JKR is and what she stands for, I would absolutely read it this way and it pisses me off
I'm wondering if writing Harry Potter was like revenge porn for JKR
Because radfems struggle to reflect that misogyny isn't based on sex ("everyone with a penis does it, everyone with a vagina is incapable of doing it"), but rather based on complex social dynamics between many groups of people- so maybe her thought process was "I experienced gender-based trauma as a little girl, and because all penis havers are evil by default, I'm going to do the same or worse to a little boy".
I can't really imagine why else she would make the flawless, innocent, selfless hero of her book series a boy if she's that repulsed by men, you know
Coming back to this mildly abandoned account to post my impression of the original 80s Friday the 13th, which incidentally is the first slasher movie I've ever watched. Massive spoiler alert if you haven't seen it yet.
It's funny as fuck to me that what the whole plot boils down to is teens having sex is nasty and evil.
No, literally. Mrs. Vorhees says her son drowned because the camp counselors were too busy having sex to watch him. The whole movie, teens are shown drinking, smoking weed, playing sexual games, having sex, and despite no kids being around that need watching, they're punished for it with brutal murder.
The symbolism of the guy lying in the top bunk with a slit throat while a couple is having sex in in the bottom bunk? The only girl that survives is the one that's never in any state of undress?
I think it's really fucking funny that christian parents in the 80s were going on the barricades because they didn't want their teens to watch all that violent, gorey, satanic crap, meanwhile the movie in question was a psyop to make sex = death a trendy opinion among the youth again.
Also the special effect with the breaking glass on the title screen killed me I'm still laughing at how campy it is
"Don't kinkshame" has been in the public vocabulary for a while now, but I still see people genuinely distraught by shit, piss and vomit kinks.
Sorry girl, "don't kinkshame" also includes kinks that you find unhygienic and disgusting. People can and will shit on each other consensually and that's their damn business. Get normaler about it.
