"Alice?" His eyes were full of a mixture of concern and terror-- she had just vomited.. blood. He gripped the small girl by the shoulders, holding her carefully in case she was about to faint. "What's the matter? Are you sick? Please, darling, tell me what's wrong!" He was beginning to panic. He was afraid that his beloved was going to die right before his eyes. Decus held her close, not caring about the red liquid that stained his white jacket. "Please, don't die. Let me make you better..."
Alice curled her fingers into the fabric of her knight’s clothing, her body shaking after throwing up the blood. What the hell was wrong with her, how come her body had done that? The blonde was worried. “I….I don’t know. Decus i’m so scared, I think I may be sick.” Alice just wasn’t sure, she trembled within his embrace. The blonde coughed again as more of the crimson liquid passed her lips, staining the white jacket that her loyal knight wore. Tears also began to fall down her cheeks. “I don’t want to die, make me better……please.”
Her eye twitched a little as she felt him pet her, okay there was only SO much that Alice would tolerate from Decus. “I am not a cute little pet Decus, so refrain from petting my hair.” Thankfully it was just the two of them here, otherwise she’d be humiliated in front of the other Vanguard members. Always be there for her huh, what a dumbo. But he was her dumbo.
And had it been anyone else who had found her coughing up blood, she being the sadist she is. Would have pushed them away. And not let them touch her, or smacked them. Hearing his question she tilted her head slightly. “Actually there is darling. Would you be so kind as to get me some water to drink, the taste of blood in my mouth is disgusting.”
He pulled his hand away, startled by her sudden outburst. But he smiled pleasantly, letting his hand rest at his side now. Despite her annoyance, he was enthralled.
"Ah yes, that's more like my darling! You're sounding more like yourself. I hope that means you're feeling better already!"
At her request, he hopped up and bowed to her. "Yes, of course my dear! I'll be right back!" He hurried out of the room. It was hardly a moment before he had returned with a tall glass of ice water. He knelt in front of her and offered it to her.
"Here you are, my dear!"
