i quite seriously ask this with all of the love in my heart, but please can authors on ao3 please learn to tag things correctly. for example. do not tag f/f if there is, for example, no f/f in the fic. also goes for people who tag ships that do not appear in the story at all. again i ask this so gently, i am holding your hand and asking you to walk with me. learn to tag, please, okay <3

edit: yes this was originally about date everything (which alr has a recession of f/f fics as it is) but tbh goes for all fandoms. learn to tag! love you!

THIS THIS IF I HAVE TO SIFT THROUGH ANOTHER DORIAN/READER OR EDDIE AND VOLT/READER MISTAGGED AS “multi” IM GONNA LOSE IT, most of the stories are written to be f/m and ao3 has a gender non conforming/other tag if the reader is meant to be ambiguous

If a character is mentioned doesn’t mean you have to tag them, my rule of thumb is if they talk, tag them

Put “mentioned cc/cc” if they’re not integral/used heavily or just don’t tag them

Sigh I need to stop ranting but I’ve never had this much tag misuse before in a fandom (granted the games only been out for a couple weeks but still 💔)

I saw someone on tiktok talking about how devon is in the wrong/the villain for calling cobel up instead of letting reghabi continue, but I think devon is justified, because the only thing she knows is that reghabi is responsible for her brother collapsing and now is threatening to leave him in this vulnerable state unless devon places her full trust in a woman she just met, cobel obviously has harmed devon, lying, almost stealing her baby/harming eleanor, and then everything involving mark and gemma, but the devil you know is better than the devil you dont

Severance is so interesting because most of the characters are morally ambiguous and are acting in the best possible way they can with the information they have
