When youâre old, all you want to do is stare at the scenery. Itâs so strange. Iâve never felt so peaceful before.

One part I really liked in The Marvels was after Carol snaps at Kamala during battle she apologies?? And says âIâm sorry, I shouldnât have spoken to you that wayâ?? Like she understands that Kamala is young and looks up to her, and considers that her being harsh could hurt her confidence?? Tony Stark would never Iâm just saying
#I would give anything to see these 5 interact together. Just pure chaos and fangirling

myka bering & helena wells; falling in love
âGlinda chooses the easy road because she doesnât think sheâs brave enough to go with Elphaba. Sheâs not done changing yet, and she falls back on the security of her old dreams. She chooses to be in with the good guys, aligned with the majority - popular. Glinda chose the wrong path, and is stuck on it for the long haul. Sheâs rewarded with the empty security of public approval, and is set to live the rest of life thinking the one person who changed it is dead. Glindaâs last notes in Wicked are in mourning, a lament for Elphaba, who can never let Glinda know sheâs still singing in harmony with her.â

âI hope youâre happy in the end. I hope youâre happy, my friend.â
âBecause I knew youâŠâ

ik every time glinda has to do some politics shit in oz she's crying inside like "this should be elphaba's job. i shouldve just been her trophy wife"
I donât think we talk enough about how the entirety of Wicked is built on the irony of No One Mourns the Wicked. The musical exists because Glinda feels the need to tell Elphabaâs story, because she is in mourning and entirely alone in that. Glindaâs love is what creates the musical because no one mourns Elphaba except her, and that is an incredibly lonely place to be. Sheâs just lost two of the most important people to her, and all sheâs trying to do is make someone, anyone else see how important they were.
âNessarose said, âCatch her, I canât, Iâm -â and she sagged against Nannyâs bosom, and Glinda swooned at the same moment. Elphaba thrust out strong arms and scooped Glinda in mid-collapse. Glinda didnât really lose consciousness, but the uncomfortable physical nearness of hawk-faced Elphaba after that undesired act of desire made her want to shiver with revulsion and purr at the same time. âSteady on, girl, not here,â said Elphaba, âresist, come on!â Resist was just what Glinda didnât want to do. But after all, in the shadow of an apple cart, on the edge of the market where merchants were selling the last fish of the day, cheap, well, this was hardly the place. âTough, tough skin,â said Elphaba, appearing to pull words from the back of her throat. âCome on, Glinda - youâve got better brains - come on! I love you too much, snap out of it, you idiot!â âWell, really,â she said as Elphaba dumped her on a heap of moldy packing straw. âNo need to be so romantic about it!ââ

A Collection of Gelphie Quotes from âWicked: the Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the Westâ (Part 3/?)
Context: Glinda has just had a weird waking sex dream due to a spell Madame Morrible placed on her, causing her to faint in the middle of the street.

A Collection of Gelphie Quotes from "Wicked: The Life and Times of The Wicked Witch of The West" (part 1/?)
(Some of these seem irrelevant but I seemed to think they were important when I searched for quotes to help me understand the relationship between Glinda and Elphaba.)
â[Galinda describing Elphabaâs hair]Â It was beautiful hair, in an odd, awful way, with a shine like the pelt of a healthy giltebeast. Black silk. Coffee spun into threads. Night rain. Galinda, not given to metaphor on the whole, found Elphabaâs hair entrancing, the more so because the girl was otherwise so uglyâ
âElphaba looked up at Glinda and smiled. âElphaba the Delirious. I like it.' Before she had a chance to bite it back, Galinda returned the smile [âŠ]â
â[Galinda describing Elphabaâs hair, again] glorious long straight black hair fell right over where breasts should be if she would ever reveal any evidence she possessed them.â
â[Galinda describing Elphaba after making her put on one of her hats] She seemed like a rare flower, her skin stemlike in its soft pearlescent sheen, the hat a botanical riot. 'Oh Miss Elphaba,â said Galinda, 'You terrible mean thing, youâre pretty.ââ
â[They look at the reflection of Elphaba wearing the hat in the window] A mapleleaf fruit, shaped [âŠ] like a heart grown lopsided, suddenly whirled out of the night and plastered itself on the reflection in the glass, gleaming red and reflecting the firelight, just where the heart would be - or so it seemed from the angle at which Galinda stood.â
â'Entrancing,â [Galinda] said. 'Thereâs some strange exotic quality of beauty about you, I never thought.â 'Surprise,â said Elphaba, and then nearly blushed, if darker green constituted a blush - 'I mean, surprise, not beauty.â
â'Who am I to argue,â Galinda, tossing her curls and striking a pose, and Elphaba actually laughed at that, and Galinda laughed back, partly horrified as she did soâ
â[After Galinda actually engages in Elphabaâs nerdy conversation] 'You are thinking!â Elphaba cried. Galinda raised herself to her elbows at the entusiasm in her roomieâs voice. 'I am about to sleep, because this is profoundly boring to me,â Galinda said, but Elphaba was grinning from ear to ear.â
â[Galinda returns to their room finding Elphaba already asleep] Galinda huffed herself into bed with a wump, annoyed that she could feel rejected by the green girl.â
â'How is your roomie?'Â 'Headstrong and difficult,â said Galinda severely, for the first time speaking in a normal voice, not the faint social whisper.â
Bonus (out of context) quote!
'Miss Elphaba!â cried Galinda, flicking open her fan to wave the flush of shame from her face. 'Your tongue!'Â
