Hello everyone,
Brazil is underwater, and we come here asking you for your help.
As some of you may know, the state of Rio Grande do Sul (RS) has been getting torrential rains since last Monday (29/04/24).
In four days, it has rained 436,2 millimeters (17,2 inches), which’s triple the normal amount in a month, which is 140 millimeters (5,5 inches)
More than two great rivers in our region had their volume duplicated, or sometimes, triplicated in size.
This means all the cities that are close to these rivers ended up completely underwater
There were more than 110 towns flooded and the estimate is that more than half a million people have been affected by this climate disaster. There are also thousands of people who are arriving in my city (the state capital, Porto Alegre) as climate refugees, coming from communities displaced by the floods.
Through this unprecedented tragedy we have been really happy to see entire communities mobilizing to help others. Still, there are people who have lost everything, especially those in marginalized communities living in precarious, unsafe and unsanitary housing.
That’s where you come in. We need money. Money to buy food, clothes, medicine, basic hygiene products, mattresses so that refugees have a place to sleep, basically everything.
Right now, the biggest demand is drinkable water: my city is almost completely out of water, because the water treatment stations have been flooded.
We understand that you may be able to give very little, but also what is little to you means A Lot more to us. Just a dollar is enough to buy 5 liters of fresh water.
Here are the links for international donations:

We are creating a go fund me campaign to help raise mone… Marlon Mora needs your support for Help Flood Catastrophe Victims in Rio Gra
(these donations are managed by people I know and trust. if you can, donate to them and not the government, but I’ll include that below as well. we don't trust the government to do anything right now, basically)

And here is some international news coverage of what’s happening:
Four days of pounding rain have inundated many parts of a southern state, cutting off towns and leaving people trapped as they await rescue
This part of South America is no stranger to major rainfall, but last week’s storms were particularly devastating
Officials say another 67 people are missing in Rio Grande do Sul, with more rain forecast.
PLEASE share and donate anything you can. Everything is greatly appreciated.
everyone please read this and share if you can.
Brazil is going through one of the worst climatic crisis ever seen.
i live in the southernmost state, Rio Grande do Sul. we have been suffering from extreme, nonstop rainstorms for a week now. the rivers are flooding, reaching 4-6 meters above their natural level. people are being rescued by helicopters, neighborhoods are being evacuated. entire cities are slowly but surely becoming submerged in water. 60 people missing and counting. 32 deaths and counting.
and this is not new. last november also had a flood like this one. 50 dead, many material losses. it happened again this january, with thousands being left without power or water for days.
three catastrophical disasters within less than a year. three disasters only a few months apart.
this is not natural.
unsustainable agricultural practices and politics led to this. a complete disregard for nature led to this. greed led to this. always greed.
when it comes to the climate crisis, i cannot stress this enough: we need to act now if we still want to live. disasters like this are going to happen more often and they're going to be much, much worse. this flood is being considered the worst climatic catastrophe in the history of my state. i don't know how long it will take for another bigger one to happen and take its place. i just know it will be sooner than it should.

🎶 Life, it never die. Orym is Keyleth's favorite guy 🎶
On a more serious note, it does make complete sense that Keyleth feels as strongly as she does about Orym. If Orym's about 36-37 years old, then when Keyleth returned to Zephrah after her adventures and Derrig took over the role of her bodyguard, Orym would have been 6-7, a little boy who was Will's friend, someone who Derrig took under his wing. So Keyleth would have watched him grow up, would have watched as he became one of her protectors, watched him fall in love, and watched him lose his love and the man he considered his father all at once. Seeing him come back from his missions and grow and succeed and persevere the way he has, taking on the mantle of an adventurer the way she once did--how could she not love him? How could she look at him with anything other than absolute pride?
