Biography;;
Renn can't remember his parents. After all, he was only a few months old when someone laid him on the steps of the orphanage. He's never found out who they were, or why they gave him away, but he would later be able to hazard a guess.
Growing up in the orphanage wasn't easy for Renn, or any of the other children in there really. Most of the staff didn't care and they were underfunded making things like enough food hard to come by. As a result, Renn often spent time on the streets coming up with some way or another to get a little change in his pocket, even if it meant taking the money from someone else without their consent.
Things continued this way until Renn was about thirteen. After skinning his knee, renn noticed something odd about the patch and after picking at the wound he realized that it wasn't normal skin growing back. Instead it was small silver scales, much like those dragons had when in their natural forms.
Renn had always been a smart child, and that along with some other peculiarities lead him to realize what he was. He cut ties with the orphanage and began to live on his own. After all, Renn knew that if he was caught, it would be the death of him. Literally.
To this day Renn lives as he did when a child. He doesn't live well, nor does he really have a home, but he's got fingers quick enough to let him grab something to eat when he needs it. For the most part he stays out of the way of the nobles and dragons, as their business doesn't really concern him. At least, he doesn't think so. Now that the prince is dead, things might be changing for Renn, more than he'd care for.
Personality;;
Renn is used to living on his own and being responsible for only himself. He doesn't care what others think about him, and he doesn't curb his words or actions for anyone. He's quite the belligerent young man, and it's an odd day when he doesn't get into at least one fight or another. He's the sort of boy that mothers warn their daughters about, and he's proud of that. However, it's not like he wants this sort of life, and if he had a chance for a normal family and body, he'd take it in a heartbeat. Just don't expect him to tell you that.
Relationships;;
Karen Miller - Renn didn't care for Karen at first, but he's changed his mind since realizing she can take care of herself like she says. He might even consider her a friend.
James Masters - Renn and James have had a friendly rivalry for quite some time. The two can often be seen at the pub together, when Renn can afford it.

Biography;;
Sierra was always second best as she grew up. Her older sister, Umber, was smarter and stronger and her parents never let Sierra forget that. Though she was raised in typical draconian fashion, with an emphasis on reason over emotion, that didn't stop her from resenting and envying Umber.
Everything changed when Umber married a human. Sierra and her mother were the only ones who knew, and the two kept the secret to themselves as the marriage broke the terms of the just established treaty. Sierra spoke to her newly wed sister once, to try and convince her to leave the man she'd married, but her sister refused and she and Sierra never spoke again.
Though she was still very young, it was only a few months after their fight that Sierra was chosen to be an ambassador to the human Capitol. She left to the Capitol, but it was only a year later when she heard of her sister's death and the birth of her niece, Rin. With a lie about her father's health Sierra left to visit her niece and decided to stay with the child to both observe her and help raise her.
She has since returned to the Capitol with Johann and Rin. Sierra currently works as an ambassador, in addition to teacher Rin math and science. As far as she knows, the other dragons don't suspect a thing about Sierra's lies and her family.
Personality;;
Though Sierra is good at keeping a straight face and not letting her emotions bubble to the surface, that doesn't mean she truly feels that way. In fact, she's actually a very passionate person. She takes her job seriously, and she believes firmly in the treaty between human and dragons. She's often described as stubborn, and the word is not ill used. When she wants something, Sierra can be tenacious and won't take no for an answer. Her tolerance for people who don't think before they act is rather low, and perhaps a bit hypocritical given that she can have a short temper when stressed.
Relationships;;
Johann Briggs - Johann is the man her sister married, and while Sierra doesn't care about him, she does care for her niece. As such, her and Johann are on civil terms.
Rin Briggs - Rin is Sierra's niece, as well as her tutee. The two often butt heads, but Sierra cares deeply for the girl.
Ebonn - Sierra has known Ebonn since she was a child, and the two of them get along well. She's aware he's interested in her, but she doesn't want to let him close for fear he'll find out about Rin.

Biography;;
Johann's father was a knight, and as he grew up, that was all that Johann wanted out of life. His family was minor nobility and though he could have easily lived a life of luxury, he followed in his father's footsteps and began the rigorous training that was required to become a knight. Thanks to a winning combination of diligence and the fact that he was built like a boulder, he already had a reputation for excellence when he was knighted at eighteen.
Johann didn't get to use his skills at dragon slaying for long, because he was only twenty one when the treaty was signed. Though devastated that the creatures he'd been spending his life training to fight were no longer the enemy, he found solace in the form of a young woman named Umber. It wasn't too long before the two of them were married, and expecting a child.
When Umber began to go into labor, it didn't take long for Johann and the midwife to realize that something was amiss. There was too much blood - and it was silver. When the ordeal was over, Johann was left with a dead wife and a half dragon daughter.
He paid the midwife to keep her silence, and began to raise his daughter Rin on his own. The only other person to know of Rin's heritage is Umbra's sister Sierra. Together the two of them raised her in Johann's estate out west, only moving back to the capitol once Rin was old enough to understand the dangers of anyone finding out who she is.
Now Rin lives on her own, separate from Johann and Sierra. The two keep in touch, but Johann keeps busy with serving the queen and acting the part of a retired knight. He's still haunted by the death of his beloved wife, but for the most part he acts the refined noble.
Personality;;
Johann has a reputation at court for being stern and closed off, and it's a reputation that's well reserved. He's never one to be chatty for no reason at all, and he firmly believes that his business is just that. Due to having to keep his daughter's heritage secret for so long, Johann is no stranger to deceit and lies. Her safety comes over his vows to the realm, and he'd die before seeing her harmed. This protective streak doesn't just extend to his daughter though. Johann became a knight to protect the weak, and just because he's retired now doesn't mean that part of him is gone. He won't stand for bullies, and he's reckless about his own safety if someone else is in danger.
Relationships;;
Rin Briggs -Johann's half dragon daughter. The two of them don't always get along, but he does care for her deeply. The two try to see each other at least every week to catch up.
Sierra Niva - Johann's sister in law. Though he doesn't care for her personally, he is thankful to her help in raising Rin.
Raquell - Johann doesn't care for Raquell at all, and he's sure the feeling is mutual. He's been keeping a close eye on the dragon, for fear that Raquell had something to do with the prince's murder.

I've got quite a number now, thanks to everyone who's dropped by my inbox. I'll be working on actually making them into characters now. However, if you've got someone you just don't think this roleplay would be complete without, I wouldn't say no if you wanted to send an ask. Also, I WILL be allowing original characters once we get closer to opening and sending in applications, so keep that in mind.

Well, the admin finally has a few days off of work. I'm going to get some more character previews out with the FCs you guys have suggested, and make a few changes to the roleplay that my reviews have suggested. I'm still looking for someone to help me with the bios, but I'll see if I can't get out a few more myself.

A little less than twenty five years ago, a treaty was signed between the dragons and the kingdom of Goredd. Now humans and dragons share a fragile peace and dragons take human form to live side by side with those they used to fight with.
As the twenty fifth anniversary of the treaty's signing approaches, a murder shocks the residents of Goredd. The crown prince is found dead after disappearing during a hunt, and his corpse is found lacking a head - a typically draconian execution. Now people are beginning to panic, and anti-dragon sentiments run rampant. Was it truly a dragon that killed the prince? If so, to what end?
Only time will tell.
