That isn’t a statement that should make Negan smile and yet he feels the corners of his mouth turning up ever so slightly as he continues to study Carl’s face.  He wonders what he’d look like with two eyes, without the scarring. Wonders just how fast he had to grow up given the state of the world they were living in. It’s a shame in some ways, but it also made him hella badass.  “Our not so little secret.” He says quietly, barely above a whisper while sounding somewhat thoughtful.  @skulleyed

Negan puts a hand on his chest, leaning backwards as a smirk crosses his face. “Is that a hint of spine I am seeing Grimes?” The grin only grows, as he steps closer to the other man, hand moving from his chest to that he could point at Rick. “Lucky for you, I enjoy the sound of my voice enough for the both of us.”

“Lucille, please.” She swallowed against the nerves rising up in her throat. This whole situation was insane, and when Negan’s eyes fell to Mal, she couldn’t help but follow his gaze, her own brow furrowing into a scowl. The young man sunk lower in his chair. Good, she hoped he was feeling extra guilty.

Lucille shook her head a little when Negan offered to grab her something, offering a slightly easier smile. After all, if she kept feeding the awkwardness, it would only get worse. She could only imagine how Negan himself was feeling. “Thats awful kind of you, but I grabbed something already. Can I buy you yours?” She knew she technically hadn’t done anything, but she felt like she should at least offer.

She stepped forward, moving up to the counter and gesturing to the menu. “Please, let me treat you.”

“Lucille.” It came out far gentler than he would have liked, too familiar, almost as if he was giving away the fact that -. He quickly cleared his throat, tongue darting out to lick his lips as he shoves those thoughts to the back of his mind. “Well then, you gotta call me Negan.” He flashed a smile more genuine than the last. “Mr Winchester makes me feel old.” He tried to argue when Lucille offered to buy him something, but she was already moving to the counter. The fierce and independent attitude Mal had given her while, well, pretending to be her seemed spot on. It shouldn’t be that surprising given that Mal was her brother and had probably spent a lot of time around her, but still, he appreciated it.  “An Americano please,” He paused for a moment, one of his weaknesses on the board “and a piece of Tiramisu.” The latter was added in an almost sulky tone. Now he’d have to eat his cake before getting out of this mess. Damn  Tiramisu.

@sugcr The photos the little fucking shit her brother had sent, didn’t do her justice. Lucille, in Negan’s opinion, was a goddamn vision. He might not believe in angels but if he did, he’d swear this woman was one, which somehow only made this all the more fucked up. He shouldn’t have come.  The small part of him that was still reeling about the fact that everything had been bullshit, screamed at him to pull the woman into a hug. His more rational side, reminded him that they were strangers, that the ‘relationship’ had simply been a fucked up joke. It wouldn’t be appropriate. Fuck, he definitely shouldn’t have come.  “Miss Wallace.” Reaching out he took her hand in his giving it a shake. This was fucking bizarre. This face had been his girlfriend for three months, but the woman herself? She hadn’t even known he’d even existed until a few days ago. He flashed a small glare at the blonde he was assuming was her brother, the fucking dickless toad, before focusing on the brunette once again. “Yeah, me fucking too.” A brief, forced, smile crossed his face, “I’m going to grab a coffee, would you like anything?” He wanted to get this apology crap over and done with but he was being stared at by the waitress behind the counter. He figured a coffee to go could not only be drunk quickly, but also meant he could walk away at any time. Truth be told he couldn’t give a shit what the boy had to say, he’d just wanted to take the opportunity to meet Lucille in person before she vanished from his life. Pretty pathetic given the fact that they’d never actually spoken.  Fuck, he really wished he hadn’t come.
