I love drawing disembodied Jamil busts (throws up)

I like to imagine when summer roles around Kalim will have to explain the whole like. He’s been letting Jamil use hypnosis on him for years and that he doesn’t want him to receive any punishment because he kinda blames himself a little bit and he wants what’s best for Jamil, so he should be left alone. I think his dad would just laugh at him. This is the same guy who watched Kalim crash out about Jamil for essentially all of middle school and then throw up and beg to follow him to magic school. And then he hears on top of it all Kalim has been letting his… um… object of affection hypnotize him? Hilarious. Kinda kinky. His kid has managed to prove time and time again he’s even more fucked up abt this servant than previously thought possible.

I think this guy dgaf abt how objectively weird it is (1. He’s a billionaire he’s seen worse, 2. Look at his harem bro he’s def not vanilla) I think he’s more concerned abt their public image so his response would be smthn like “LMAOOOOO FRL??? Omfg you can’t tell anyone kiddo”

A bit of a rant but I can’t be the only one who’s noticed that 50% of Jamil angst is just Kalim angst in disguise right? Maybe I’m picky but when I see Kalim characterized as a blameless depressed sad boy who is victimized by Jamil I lose brain cells

Jamil being overshadowed by Kalim ain’t even just story anymore the fandom is in on it I swear

Like. I feel like it’s always Kalim’s shitty situation getting brought up, and it’s expected to be this Kalim pity party the whole way thru. While he does deserve angst and whatever, Jamil always ends up having to just play an emotion support role rather than addressing his own feelings and issues that wrap up into it.

Jamil has his emotional and physical boundaries crossed alllllll the tiiiiime. And Kalim has his reasons, but that doesn’t mean Jamil shouldn’t be entitled to like. His own angst/breakdown abt it. And also like?? All the isolation he has to deal with as Kalim’s servant? He can’t really complain or set boundaries, and doesn’t have any to confide in abt it. Hence him just seething to himself. <-(Amazing character study potential)

You see, in my mind, you could get angst from Kalim having a typical breakdown, but Jamil can’t stand to be the shoulder to cry on anymore, when Kalim isn’t someone he can come to for the same thing. Kalim wants to be that for him, but can’t connect in a meaningful way.

PUNCHES WALL THE ANGST COMES FROM THE DESIRE TO BE THERE FOR EACH OTHER BUT BEING UNABLE TO BRIDGE THE GAP The emotional distance is what hurts, not just the traumaaaaaa bitchhhhhh

Alright rant over I just need more and better Jamil angst but there isn’t enough bc Kalim has to be the pitiful baby all the time

Edit: OG post mentions Kalim being victimized by Jamil. Meant to say like literally. Jamil set boundaries or doesn’t act super compassionate and he’s the asshole for some reason. Or like Jamil is made artificially eviler or whatever to make Kalim even more of a sad puppy. Get out of my house don’t talk to me
