When we lose twenty pounds... we may be losing the twenty best pounds we have! We may be losing the pounds that contain our genius, our humanity, our love and honesty. - Woody Allen
Loving the interaction between an HBO show which introduced a new concept of women sexuality, fashion and independence and a similar performance by a performance artist who pushes the envelope in a similar way. Also, anything Kim Cattrall or Marina Abramovic is enough to make my day.
Is it really multiculturalism when instead of embraced, other cultures and ethnicities are merely tolerated instead?

Fave new artist find - Pipilotti Rist’s site specific installations full of lush sensual imagery
Best artist inspiration.
To accompany the craze regarding the highly anticipated return of Daft Punk, including my own, GQ offers a great insight into the French robotic duo. I loved the “Daft Diaspora” column on the right, highlighting my favorite, Technologic, and it as the soundtrack to the awesome iPod ads.
Buckets of Basquiat
“Some people got a [Rolex], I got a Basquiat,” said Swizz Beatz
There's a sense of irony where Basquiat, an artist from Brooklyn making art along the lines of primitivism and lower-middle class angst, is now mingling with capitalism, upper-class elite, Sotheby's and champagne. Maybe this is because the 'started from the bottom' sensibility a la Drake is trending right now, or maybe because obscure is the new mainstream. Can't complain though, Jean-Michel Basquiat deserves this recognition if nothing else.
A fresh start to my blog, my inspiration and my twenties.
