the options are-

pk/plural kit- hard to use, inaccessible outside of discord

ampersand- completely offline, inability to view friends' profiles and vise-versa, android only

octocon- sysmed managers who only changed their stance to "neutral" to gain more traction. Dangerous to have stances unaligned with developers as they are allowed (per terms and service) to terminate the account

No I'm not going to be nice because uwu mental health. They had other options and our right chose not to take them. That is a selfish choice. Period. It has nothing to do with their mental health. Yes of course they can take a break. Thats not the problem. The problem is shutting down an accessibility tool just because they don't wanna do it anymore. Imagine if one of the biggest easiest to understand free screen readers just shut down and used the same thing? Just nah? Imagine if be my eyes did? They had options and out right chose not to use them and are shutting down an accessibility tool that is a MAJOR PART of people's lives. Its uwu teehee little app shutting down. Its people losing info theyve had for years. Front history. Images. Theyre losing a tool that, in some cases, makes them feel like them. And that's fucked up just because they need a break and refused to look at other outlets. So no. I won't be nice.

I haven’t posted on here in a while but I really need to share. TW for suicide mention.

Being disabled from birth is its own category. I saw a video talking about a case of a young man who ended up committing suicide after HIMS mental health app prescribed him Wellbutrin without any sort of evaluation. The comments were filled with two sides, either “oh this has no correlation Wellbutrin saved my life” or “Wellbutrin sucks it ruined my life and it will ruin yours.” I got on Wellbutrin in summer the so far it’s been great. I’m also on 3 more other medications, one type of medication I’ve been on since before I could walk by myself.

I’ve been disabled since day 3 post birth. I have a rare heart defect called DORV or double outlet right ventricle, I also have the rarest form where I’ve had 4 surgeries but it’s still not fixed. I’m not healed. I’m still disabled by it and I will be disabled by it probably for the rest of my life. Now to the main point. Being like me while being part of the disabled community is very hard.

I am not disabled enough for the disabled community. Doctors are scared of me so I get whatever treatment I need, I am not constantly suffering or in pain, I am only on a few things regarding medication and prevention. So I’m often dismissed as not disabled enough. While I’m too disabled for the abled community. I use the elevator, I am on medications people never heard of, I am too versed in cardiology. I feel like I’m the only one who is hanging in this weird limbo of “too disabled but also not disabled enough.”

I am not trying to say anyone else’s experience is invalid. I know that doctors dismiss disabled people, ignore, underestimate etc. and I try my best to advocate for doctors and medical community to do better. But being in stuck in this limbo is a weird feeling.

Pet loss is so insurmountable. You see and feel their absence everywhere you look. There are big things like the sudden loss of cuddles and companionship but it’s the small things that really get you. The leash and collar on the hook instead on the . The half-full container of food on the shelf. The water in the water dish you can’t bring yourself to pour out. The empty dog house and bed that no longer houses their imprint. The clean windows. The lack of noise. The sudden lack of sunshine because you don’t have to be outside for potty breaks.
