This place was a hell of a lot different than he remembered it being. There were places that led underground now and monsters running around certain places. It was all a bit disturbing to be honest. Did those scientists go insane or something? Well, if he remembered well then no one here was really capable of dying, so at least there was that. But even so, not dying in itself could be a form of torture.

He’d set out to explore and hopefully run into some familiar faces from the last time he was here. But one face he didn’t expect to see was this one. For a moment he wondered whether his eyes were playing tricks on him, but gradually he came to realize that this was, in fact, all real. He would have been surprised if this was his first time here, but he knew that these scientists had the means to bring back people from the dead. And now they apparently chose to use it on that man.

"Ha… Hahahaha! Dammit, I never thought I’d say this, but I’m glad I’m here! Dad. It’s really you, isn’t it?"

He could barely hold in his excitement. His father, alive and standing in front of him. It took all the strength in the young man not to just run up to him and give him a hug. To hell with it. Keeping a cool demeanor didn’t matter. A father-son hug soon ensued and he didn’t care who saw or what they thought about it.

Minato would be suddenly ataken back by an orange flash (hah) suddenly running up towards him to give him a hug. It took no time at all to realize that the boy hugging him was his own son. Hah.. who could even ignore bright yellow hair like that? Still, it was unbelievable that Naruto was here as well--

Wait.. all three of them, huh? Almost.. like an actual family. No, not almost. The entire group was here. Minato didn't have much time to think on it though, seeing as his son probably had a few things to say about him suddenly being alive and well here. 

" Yeah, it's me. Although I could really be saying the same thing. I just can't believe the things going on right now. " 

Minato couldn't help but to smile at the fact his son was here. After the relatively rough treatment Naruto gave him before, it was nice that reuniting with him under these circumstances were a lot more peaceful. Then again, Naruto's hug was pretty darn tight. Not that he'd mind, though.

     Taking a few steps backwards as she felt the embrace, Kushina blinked twice and tilted her head a little so that she could feel a better look at Minato. This was a normal reaction though. The last time she remembered seeing him, actually being him was when they were dying.

     The memories were still fresh to hair and Kushina lifted up her hands, placing them gently on Minato’s cheeks before pressing her forehead against his. It really was him, she could feel the warmth from his skin and Kushina felt her heart beat faster.

     Something like this felt… felt… it felt too good to be true. Perhaps this was something she shouldn’t think too much about, allow herself to enjoy the moment because Kushina was sure that this might get ripped away soon. It was hard to tell, but neither of them should be here, alive.

     But they were.

     Voice cracking, Kushina laughed a little. "Really? I shouldn’t be surprised, haha." She was doing her best to hold back the tears which were threatening to make an appearance.

" Heh.. " 

Minato wouldn't be able to a small bit of laughter in his voice, pulling back away from Kushina. Seeing her smile and laugh like that again was so.. refreshing. Locked away from either heaven or hell.. it felt refreshing to kind of feel the warmth of a loved one again. And it was definitely a feeling Minato would want to get more of later. 

" So.. I suppose.. we're alive again, huh? Albeit at some.. disadvantage. "

Minato would flex his hand a little bit. If it had happened to him, it probably happened to Kushina also. Both of them had large amounts of their chakra pulled and locked away from them. But.. with Kushina no longer holding Nine Tails in her, that wasn't too big of a problem for her. But for him, being unable to use many jutsu, he kind of felt.. a bit empty on the inside, really. He shouldn't have dwelled on it for long, though. He was more concerned over the fact he was ALIVE. 

" It's been a while.. it almost feels odd having a human body like this, back. But it's almost as if I just woken up from a small nap or something.. it's definitely something. "

   “Was that supposed to be a threat?” mustering a dry laugh, mischief twinkled dangerously in his hues. “Don’t kid yourself. I’ve been here longer — I know the rules of this game known as Hive City better than you do. I even know that the entrance price is nearly all of your power. I’m stronger than you, Leaf trash, so save your meaningless words.”

.. That was something against him. With so much of his chakra pools taken away from him, along with being unable to use Flying Raijin or the Rasengan, his threats really were empty. To feel so helpless like this.. no.. not like this. 

" You'll never be stronger than me. One who's thrown away his pride as a shinobi.. someone like you could never be stronger. You who has nothing to protect.. you'll never know what true strength is, no matter what happens. "

     What was this? What was that? Why does she suddenly having an actual body which she can feel the the cold against her skin and being able to hear the birds chirping. Resting a hand on her stomach, Kushina felt a little startled by the fact she was alive.

     It must be the doing of those that had taken here. What did they call themselves, scientists? How strange. And they brought her here, and everyone else, to be part of a social experiment?

     "This is a little rude, ya know? They didn’t even explain how anything in this city works," she said with a frustrated sigh.

     Rubbing the back of her head, Kushina looked around until her eyes spotted a familiar head, or maybe hair was better given how much it stands out. "Minato!"

" Kushina..!! "

With emotion suddenly overwhelming Minato's body, he'd quickly run up to his wife and quickly hug her and--gods, the warmth of her body.. it seemed to shoot up through him as well. The idea of being able to experience warm feeling like this again, it was almost too much for him to handle. He'd hold onto her for the time being, his hands lightly tracing themselves through the individual strands of Kushina's beautiful hair, staying silent for a moment. However, in the back of his mind, he knew all of this seemed.. kind of wrong. 

Being alive like this.. it was just some kind of awful twist of fate putting them like this.. or some cruel miracle. Having been revived like this in an unknown city.. it couldn't have been the afterlife. No, that itself was impossible. This entire city was made of the impossible. To break the contract of the Reaper himself and two bring back two human beings who's time were up for the sake of a village, and a child..

But then, why was he so happy to be able to hold his wife like this once more? He'd stay silent for a moment, trying to keep himself calm and collected. Kushina herself must've been confused as well, being brought back like this. But.. even in times like this.. 

" I've missed your beautiful hair, you know. "

" I wasn’t aware you’d be crawling around this area. I suppose I’ll have to stay on my toes and watch all of you. As long as you’re here and nowhere near the village.. "

   “Wouldn’t that just give us the opportunity to invade other villages? Possible allies, innocent, normal villages that have nothing to do with the shinobi world … Truly selfish, you Leaf. No wonder nobody likes you, yeah.”

Odd.. a pulse.. heart beating.. warmth in the body.. call him crazy, but.. was he alive..? That's nuts. Even if.. god forbid someone used that, the Reaper Death Seal wouldn't necessarily let that happen. Still, taking one of the wooden kunais given to him, Minato would press it into his finger tip. A small drip of blood would come out and he felt it for sure.

What was even weirder was the lack of actual chakra flow, like.. a lot of it was missing. Jeez, even if he was here, he didn't have a lot on him, and those scientists or doctors didn't feel like explaining anything. This was concerning.
